Just two weeks to go until Ware Festival 2024! With the theme for this year ‘What a Load of Rubbish’, the festival aims to highlight the importance of recycling and reducing waste in the community.

Kicking off with Carnival day on Saturday 6th July, following this families and residents can enjoy the town fair held in the Priory grounds, with plenty of stalls, fair ground rides, music, food and entertainment to enjoy. ���

Proceeds from the festival will be split between Ware Festival charities, Men’s Shed and the Ware & Hertford Waterways Chaplaincy, who support those living on our waterway.

It’s time for Hertford Symphony Orchestra and its young audience to dig out and dust off those fancy dress outfits and enjoy an afternoon of wonderful fairytale music!

Perfect for children aged 3-11 and their grown ups!

Hertford Symphony Orchestra and their conductor, Jonathan Mann, are joined by presenter Lucy Drever. 👏

Lucy, known for her work with the Wigmore Hall and the Philharmonia Orchestra, is going to take the audience on a fairytale adventure of exciting, enchanting orchestral music! 🎻

It’s happening on June 30th! Will we see you there? 💕

We are so pleased to have played our part to ensure the Community Banking Hub is now up and running in the Hanbury Room at the Ware Drill Hall.

A big thank you must go to our Board of Trustees for embracing the idea and to a number of local organisations that are regular users who have cooperated to ensure the Hanbury Room can be made a available in the short term to allow this important facility to happen.

Without the cooperation of the Trustees, the staff here at the Drill Hall and our regular users it would not have been easy to make this happen.

Well done to all involved!

So pleased to welcome the Banking Hub to the Ware Drill Hall!!

📰🚨🙌BREAKING NEWS…Cash Access UK officially opened a temporary banking hub yesterday (4th June) at Ware Drill Hall. This interim home will ensure that Ware gets immediate access to cash and banking facilities until they move into a more permanent location.

😀 At Ware Town Council we’re so pleased about this news as we have been campaigning for a banking hub in the town since the last high street bank closed in 2020. We gained the support of industry experts, lobbied the Treasury, explored a range of banking alternatives and used evidence from our Community Banking study in 2022 to support the campaign.

📣Our Town Clerk, Terry Philpott said, “We are delighted that a project Ware Town Council initiated has come to fruition. We recognise the importance of access to banking and fully support the availability of this service to our community.”

We are looking forwards to welcoming Ware Choral Society this Saturday for their Summer Concert - Mass in Blue.

Come and enjoy an evening of Jazz and classics with Ware Choral Society. They are singing the Mass in Blue (jazz mass) by Will Todd and Songs and Sonnets by Will Shakespeare and George Shearing.

They have a great band - renowned jazz musicians John Turville, Simon Allen, Ben Reynolds, James Owston and soloist Joanna Forbes L’Estrange.

Concert starts at 7:30. Come a little early and enjoy a glass of something at your table.
