HOW MANY CHAIRS DO I NEED?
This will depend on a couple of things;
Are you having a ceremony onsite as well as a sit-down meal?
Do you have someone/people to move the chairs after the ceremony?
If you are having a ceremony and a sit-down meal and don't have anyone onsite to move the chairs after the ceremony, we'd advise having two sets of seating.
It doesn't mean the ceremony has to be chairs. You could have benches or hay bales, whichever suits your style.

Are you planning to have smores at your wedding or event?
Here's a few tips;
⭐️ If it's a hot day, keep chocolate in a fridge until needed later in the day
⭐️ Have everything ready in one basket/box, so someone can simply get everything in one go and pop out near the firepit
⭐️ Don't forget skewers to toast marshmallows - you can get extra long ones if you're worried about little ones near the fire (although they should obviously be supervised)
⭐️ Have food in sealed containers, like in this photo, so when not in use, the lids can be closed so you don't attract unwanted bugs. Also good if you have dogs at the wedding - you don't want an expensive trip to the vet!
⭐️ If you are having a fire pit, make sure it is put out before everyone goes to bed in their tents. Ask one person to be responsible for this ahead of the day.

With the return of the sun comes warmth. Marquees can get hot in the sunshine, so our clearspan marquees are equipped with roll-up windows, meaning you can leave each one up or down, based on preference.

W E A T H E R
Marquees really come into their own during adverse weather conditions.
Yesterday’s wedding ceremony was meant to be outside but as it kept raining every five minutes, the ceremony was set up inside with the front panel open, in the chill-out area, and then turned around again afterwards.
It meant that everyone still had the same view of the rolling hills but they were guaranteed not to be entering any wet t-shirt contests.

WEDDING PLANNING
We asked Wedding Planner, Sam Savage, of South Coast Weddings - Wedding Planners some advice to share with our followers. Here's what she had to say;
1) Make a wedding budget.
2) Work out your priorities. Are you real foodies and want to spend a big part of your budget on excellent food? Perhaps music is your thing and want to splash out on a great band.
This will help you determine which items to book first.
3) Make a guest list before looking at venues. This will save you a lot of time because you will then only look at venues that meet the criteria of your guest numbers.
4) To narrow the venue search down further, talk about the type of wedding day you'd like.
5) When you're contacting venues and other suppliers, be as specific as possible with information. "We're engaged and looking for a venue" is a little vague.
Try and include:
- A date or at least the month and year you're thinking of
- The number of guests (for a venue/caterer)
For other suppliers, let them know:
- The date
- The venue
- How many bridesmaids (for a makeup/hair stylist)
- Whether you're having a sit-down or relaxed seating (for a marquee)
The more detail you can provide for any wedding supplier in that first email, the quicker you will receive the exact information you're looking for.
6) Stay organised! This doesn't mean you have to go out and buy a fancy wedding book. A simple excel spreadsheet, with different tabs, will do the trick!
