Now that it's Halloween it's ok to be officially counting down to Christmas, isn't it??

Get your festive season off to a magical, sparkly, twinkly start with a visit to SANTA'S SECRET COTTAGE at beautiful Turvey House.

We'll be opening our Elf Trail on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th December, so your little explorers can make their way through the woodland paths to Santa's Grotto.

Marking off the nice (and naughty!) hidden elves on their own elf map - and stopping off at the candy cane glade - we'll have our real-life elves (and Mrs Claus) on hand to make sure they have loads of fun on the way!

After a visit to Santa for a story, Nice certificate and wrapped gift, come back to our festive courtyard for face-painting, Santa letter writing, a tractor 'sleigh' ride, our gorgeous wishing tree (all included in your ticket) and craft activities.

Finish off your visit with a mulled wine, hot chocolate and some food - we have cosy blankets and deck chairs at the ready!

'Twas the night before Christmas...

(Well, the 9th & 10th of December but you get the general idea!)

Come and join us at Turvey House as we open Santa's secret woodland cottage, and get your festive season off to a sparkly, twinkly, magical start.

Your little ones will explore our elf trail, guided by Santa's elves (of course), pick their own candy cane from the candy cane glade, and discover Santa's cottage, tucked away in the beautiful woodland at Turvey House.

After their visit (which includes a story, a lovely chat with Santa, gift, Nice Certificate and a chance for photos), there'll be plenty of time for more festive fun!

Face painting, Santa letter writing, placing a wish on our gorgeous Wishing Tree and a tractor 'sleigh' ride (all included in their grotto ticket), plus Christmas craft activities (which can be joined and paid for on the day).

Finish off your visit with hot chocolate & marshmallows (or a mulled wine) in our Christmas courtyard, or maybe some hot food or sweet treats from our food trucks - we'll even lend you a cosy blanket if it's chilly!

This spectacular musical film explores themes of kindness, unconditional love, reconciliation and following your dreams - whilst being entirely fabulous and singing & dancing your heart out!

Visually stunning, with songs you'll be humming for weeks afterwards, we're so excited to be bringing this much-loved film to the beautiful grounds of Turvey House (MK43 8EL).

No plans for the long weekend? You're in luck! It's the final countdown to our Homes & Gardens Fair, Holdenby House (NN6 8DJ) this weekend, Sunday 28th and Monday 29th May!

Here's the timetable for some of the activities and sessions we have planned on Sunday & Monday - we'll also have demonstrations from local makers and artists happening throughout, which you can just watch or join on the day.
And do come and find the garden games area (near the bar and stage) for croquet, quoits & Jenga in the sunshine! We might give the hula hooping a miss ourselves, but we're looking forward to our visitors having a go! 🙂

What’s that saying? Never work with children or tractors. Is that it? Well, the children part has been fine but alas due to the extreme frost Terry Tractor just wasn’t having any of it. So we’ve had to improvise so that little ones can still enjoy a little ride. Enter Tina Trailer 😀

⭐️ Ticket update for Weekend visitors! ⭐️

Due to the subzero temperatures forecasted for the weekend, plus lots of visitor feedback saying it's simply too cold to stay until 10pm in the evening, we'll now be closing the event at 8pm on both Saturday & Sunday.

The GREAT NEWS is we're extending your booking! So regardless of the ticket you've purchased, you'll now be able to enjoy the entire event from 11am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday with free re-entry if you want to go and come back a bit later too.

🎅🏼 Note - if you’ve booked the elf trail and Father Christmas experience, those bookings remain at your scheduled time so do remember to plan around that. 🎅🏼

If there's one thing to get festive spirits up, it's a Christmas sing song. We cannot wait!

This is where crafting meets delicious! Our friends at Creme Brew Lait will be hosting sweetie basket workshops at our event at Turvey House - Events, Filming, Weddings this week, where little ones can decorate the card baskets using stickers, crayons, stamps before choosing a bag of yummy homemade sweets to pop in. They can choose from vanilla fudge, chocolate fudge, coconut ice and peppermint creams. Creme Brew Lait will assemble the basket, put the basket in cellophane and tie with a ribbon. Kiddies can write their own gift tag or someone will be on hand to help with that bit if needed.

No need to pre-book, just nab your place at our workshop kiosk on the day. And remember, you must have a general admission ticket to our event at Turvey House to join in.

Did someone say Christmas dinner in a WRAP? A Porky Yorky wrap to be precise? Well, ding d**g merrily on high. Our bellies cannot WAIT for next week 🤤🤤🤤

One of our food market traders will be offering pork, turkey or veggie sausage wraps with crispy roasties and alllll the gravy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

Christmas Day might be just over 3 weeks away but Father Christmas himself is currently dusting off his suit and making sure his sleigh is full of merry to touch down at Turvey House in ONE WEEK! 🎅🏼

We're busy behind the scenes preparing his warm and cosy grotto and making sure that Mrs Claus has enough flour and sugar after she put in a special request this week. We wonder what she's got up her sleeve...?🤶🏼
