What a week, two Grobs packed by Friday night to go out to Saudi for a display in November. The glider packed into a container to go out to south Africa for the winter on Saturday. Monday morning at 09:00 the lorry arrives to pick up the Grob’s and he won’t drive in because the trees need to be cut and he won’t drive on the grass as it’s to soft. The container has to be at the port tomorrow to meet the ship. Ok I will repack the GROBs into the second container that is on the hard standing and get the trees cut. Nope, the paper work can’t be changed in time. So we had to make an expensive plywood road for him and trim the trees back. It worked and they are at the port 😊 I can do with out days like that thank you.

Based near Warminster, we are a father and son pyrotechnics air display team.

Team Leader Tim Dews has been flying the Grob 109b for over 30 years all over the world. Tom Dews is the second pilot and went solo in the Grob on his 16th birthday as did his brother Ben. Matthew, the youngest of the three, not wanting to be outdone by his brothers, went solo in a glider at 14 as the rules had changed.

Tim and Ben import the Grob motor glider for customers all over the UK and run a composite aircraft repair business from the airstrip.
