Officers from the Warminster Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have this month participated in several productive SWIFT sessions.

SWIFT - which stands for Swindon and Wiltshire Interventions for Families to Thrive, is a consent-based program run by Wiltshire Police.

The purpose of SWIFT is to prevent children from entering the criminal justice system by reducing their involvement with the police.

SWIFT specifically caters to young people aged 8-15 who are exhibiting signs of causing anti-social behaviour, experiencing episodes of going missing, facing low-level disorder at home, or have concerns of low-level exploitation.

When a young person is accepted onto SWIFT, they are matched up with a Trusted Adult (TA) who will either be a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) or Police Constable (PC) providing support that promotes and strengthens positive behaviour.

💐💐Our beautiful little flower truck will be flower ready for the ‘Warminster Summer Street Market’ tomorrow (Saturday 29th June) parked up in our usual spot in the lovely 💐💐
We have the pleasure of working along side lots of other wonderful independent businesses, (especially those in Chinns Court) so why not stop by and take a look!
Chinns Court is truly the hidden gem of Warminster 😳👀🥰

We are so looking forward to this! Such a lovely event in our town. Thank you so much 🙏😎

There will be a huge variety of stalls at our Summer Market on Saturday 29th June stretching the full length of the High Street and in the Civic Centre… from Crafts to Pets, Cards to Clothes, Cupcakes to Charcuterie plus food stalls from the East to the Caribbean – something for the foodie in everyone. Specialist cider, independent breweries, cocktails, Hawkston (Jeremy Clarkson) & Grichie beer (Guy Ritchie) to quench your thirst – and because it will be sunny, a range of ice-creams and gelatos for the kids. Alongside our independent shops and cafes, there will be children’s fairground rides and craft activities, as well as a chance to relax in our wonderful town park and lake… what’s stopping you coming to Warminster for a great day out?
