Another wonderful workshop completed!
These traditional windmills were created in a modern context guided by our colourful heart artist Wong Catding art hk combined with Chinese blessing calligraphy, symbolising our connection to one another, not only in Chinese but also in Hindi, Arabic language, there were just so much more to learn and share. Thank you so much for visiting our booth.

It looks like this could be the hottest day of the year so far across Cheshire and Merseyside! 😎
Enjoy the beautiful weather but please stay safe in the☀️- sunburn can be a risk factor for skin cancer.
Don't rely on sunscreen alone to protect yourself from the sun.
Remember to use sun cream when you are out - even in England you can burn - wear suitable clothing and spend time in the shade when the sun's at its hottest.
When buying sunscreen, the label should have:
☀️a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30 to protect against UVB
☀️at least 4-star UVA protection
☀️UVA protection can also be indicated by the letters "UVA" in a circle, which indicates that it meets the EU standard.
☀️Make sure the sunscreen is not past its expiry date.

Thanks for having us today, the meeting was planned so well. It was great to meet and hear other organisations and groups perspectives. We are all work towards to raising awareness of early cancer prevention and it is crucial to take preventive measures as early as possible.

We hope to improve our sessions by planning not only mindfulness tea morning chats but also engaging in physical activities to support a healthy lifestyle and choices too ⭐️☀️🏸🏓🧘🌱💐❤️

Today’s tea morning went super well! We saw partners, friends and new faces come together over delicious zongzi and delightful conversations. We even discussed the possibility of having our own dragon boat races next year in Warrington! 🤞🏻

A big thank you to everyone who joined us (and helped us). We hope here’s to many more mornings filled with connections, collaborations, and of course, great food 😋🤝.

Let’s extend the festivities and join us for a zongzi making tea morning!

Zongzi are traditional Chinese rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, commonly enjoyed during the Dragon Boat Festival.

We’ll provide all the ingredients and guidance you need. Come for the fun, stay for the flavors! 😋

Today, we celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival (端午節), a day full of rich traditions and has been celebrated for over 2,000 years. It falls on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month.

Pictures taken from the Dragon Boat Racing at Salford Quay in the weekend. Hopefully we can have our own in Warrington next year.🐲🛶

Literature Festival is coming in June.

Libraries are holding various special sessions for everyone. We are delighted to do one of the sessions in the Culture and inclusivity week.

Join us at Padgate library, we will be doing Chinese calligraphy, and make bookmarks, featuring the theme of “Never Stop Learning”. 🔖 ✍️

What a special day! Let's take a moment to highlight the inspiring story of Miss Laybourne, a woman whose legacy continues to inspire. As well as celebrating the achievements and recognition of women on International Women's Day.

Surprisingly, her great niece, who currently lives in the south, personally delivered the inherited
collection passed through generations to the Warrington Museum. By seeing these more collections has opened up a new extension researches adding into Miss Laybourne's story, a brave, adventures medical missionary lady!

Today is the 15th day of the first lunar month, coinciding the first full moon night of the Chinese lunar calendar. This auspicious occasion marks the final day of the traditional New Year celebrations known as Lantern Festival. On this day, families come together to take park in various activities, including the illumination of colourful lanterns, solving riddles written on lanterns, and eating traditional foods like tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls)- 圆 homophone as 团团圆圆 symbolise families united during this time and appreciate the beauty of the lanterns and the full moon.

The Mulan family has handmade a set of beautiful persimmons tangyuan 柿子汤圆，homophone as 柿柿如意🍅 ，extends our warm wishes for a wonderful year ahead to you all, and we are looking forward to meeting you at our coming Tea Time.😃

Today is the 9th day of Lunar New Year, and is our last event held at the Warrington Central Library for the celebration.

Handmade bookmarks, spring couplets, and framed paintings with Chinese calligraphy have been beautifully presented and we are delighted to see the smiles on people’s faces.

We hope you enjoy the rest of this special occasion and we’ll see you again next year! 🧧❤️

We have joined the Chinese New Year celebration again today at the Warrington VIP (Visually Impaired People). We have met more people, shared more Chinese stories, songs and performances. Thank you to all the little volunteers.

Today, Mulan members and their little helpers went to the Warrington VIP (Visually Impaired People) first ever Chinese New Year Celebration. They had a delicious lunch together and exchanged stories among Chinese, English and Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

We’ll be there again on Thursday.

Celebrating Lunar New Year at the Warrington Youth Zone yesterday was a blast! From the most popular and delicious sugar painting to the beautiful Chinese calligraphy and Kung Fu performance, it was a day full of cultural discovery and community joy.
