With the help of our amazing seamstress .tailor Libby completely customised her gown by removing all of the netting from the skirt of her dress and added a statement slit, and I think we can all agree that Libby looked absolutely stunning 😍

🖤HONEST POST🖤 Please read ⬇️

I’ve been kinda MIA from the boutique and socials this week and it has weighed very heavy on me.
The kids have been off school on half term and my hubby had taken the week off work so that we could actually spend some quality time together… but unfortunately that didn’t go to plan!
I’ve been so poorly (as has my husband) that I’ve barely moved from the couch.

I hate the thought of ever letting anyone down, so the appointments I did have, well let’s just say I put on a very brave face, pulled my big girl knickers up and got on with it. But let me tell you, it was bloody hard! If I worked for someone I would’ve 1000% called in sick! But when you work for yourself, it’s not always that simple.

Taking time off to rest and heal your mind and body should be paramount, but I always feel a sense of guilt when I’m not present at the boutique.
I spend WAY too much time worrying about what people will think if the shop isn’t open or if I haven’t replied to a message straight away. But I think I need to cut myself some slack!

I am literally a one man band, and although I get to meet some of the most amazing, beautiful people in my job, it can sometimes feel like the loneliest place. When you’re not feeling 100% but have no alternative other than to just crack on with a smile on your face, it can be tough.

Being a mum and single handedly running a business is certainly a tough balance, but I am genuinely so lucky to be able to call what I do a job. I absolutely bloody love it, and those that know me will know how passionate I am about it.

I think sometimes, us ladies just need to give ourselves a little more credit and stop putting so much pressure on ourselves.
Stop with the worry. Stop with the guilt. Take some time to rest and regroup and listen to your body.

So, with that, I am still in my pjs on the couch, the boutique won’t be open today, I am going to spend some time with my family and I’m not going to beat myself up about it.

It feels like 2 minutes ago that I was nominated for Best Bridal Retailer 2023!!
I feel so incredibly lucky to call what I do a job, and I think all of you who know me and have met me in Bisous know how much meeting new brides and helping them to find their dream dress means to me.

So here we are again!
I always say that being nominated alone is a huge honour, but every year making it as a finalist is just insane, especially when there are only 10 finalist for each category.
Being in that club amongst some incredible businesses makes my heart smile 🥰
