We recently photographed a gorgeous wedding reception at The Treasury Building in Warrington and we’re still buzzing from it!

This little hidden gem is tucked away in Palmyra Square, surrounded by great places like San Lorenzo Italian, Kuckoo Warrington and Vandal Warrington, just to name a few, perfect for a post-ceremony celebration 🍸🍕

The building itself is packed with history and charm. It used to be an actual treasury (yep, money and all!) and now it’s a stunning, intimate venue with loads of character. Beautiful rooms, amazing light, and backdrops everywhere you look. We were spoilt for choice!

Bonus fun fact: The gorgeous Sophie Ellis-Bextor recently filmed part of a Freemans ad there. So if it’s good enough for pop royalty... 😉

Small wedding? Big personality. This venue nailed it.

A New Approach to Year 11 Prom Photography

Fairer, Simpler and Better for Everyone!

For years, our team at F11 Photography has loved capturing the magic of Year 11 Proms. We’d set up our mobile studio on-site and offer students the chance to buy a professional, printed, and mounted prom portrait for a fixed price. The price was set according to the expectation of sales and at a typical prom, 60-65% of students went home with a prom photograph for their parents.

The problem? Not all students brought money. Some didn’t even know a photographer would be there. As a result, many missed out on what could’ve been a treasured keepsake of one of the most significant milestones in their school life. And frankly, that never sat right with us.

So we decided to change things.

Instead of selling photos on the night, we now ask schools to include the cost of a professional prom portrait in the price of the prom ticket.

Think about what the prom ticket already covers:

🎶 The DJ
🍽️ The food
🏛️ The venue and staff
🎈 The decorations
🎉 The entertainment

So why not include the one thing that lasts forever – the professional prom photograph? This way:

✅ Every student walks away with a professionally taken, printed, and mounted portrait, no awkward exclusions.
✅ Parents know what they’re getting, no surprises, no scrambling for cash on the night.
✅ The whole evening runs more smoothly, no queues for payment, no delays.
✅ And because everyone’s included, we’re able to offer the portraits at a significantly lower price per head.

We’ve heard some concerns from schools about affordability, and we get it. But the cost per student is significantly lower when bundled in. This isn’t just a picture, it’s a moment captured forever.

Four Generations. One Timeless Image.

It was a real privilege to photograph four generations of women from the same family today. From a joyful 16-month old baby to her proud great grandmother, who is now in her 80s.

Moments like these are rare. As families grow, move away, and time ticks on, it’s not often everyone’s in the same place at the same time, let alone in front of a camera together.

This black and white portrait was captured just after a larger family photoshoot. With just a few minutes of setup, each person took their turn sitting and gazing at the same focal point. Later, the individual portraits were carefully blended together to create one seamless image.

A simple yet powerful reminder of the bond that spans generations.

Sometimes it’s the unplanned moments that turn into the most meaningful photographs.

We recently secured a photoshoot that pushed our creativity and technical skills to the max!

We were commissioned to photograph a team of 160+ staff members for one of our amazing clients.

The challenge? Capturing everyone in two sittings and seamlessly stitching the images together to create the illusion of one cohesive group photo of the large group.

The shoot took place in their sports hall, which, let’s be honest, isn’t your typical photography studio. But with a bit of creative problem-solving, strategic lighting, and some serious teamwork, we transformed the space into a photo-ready environment for the shoot.

Tiered staging was needed to accommodate the numbers and this had to be hired out from one of our photography contacts in the North East UK.

The final result (pic faces and client name blurred out for confidentiality reasons) a large photograph, printed, mounted and framed to 5 feet by 4 feet, it gives the illusion of being taken in a single shot, perfectly showcasing the unity and energy of their incredible team, who are celebrating their 60th anniversary.

Today, we delivered the final result to our client who were absolutely made up with it.

Huge shoutout to the client for trusting us with this project and to everyone who jumped in to make it happen. It’s a reminder that with the right planning, collaboration, and a dash of creativity, even the most ambitious ideas can come to life.

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting a local high school to talk to a group of students about pursuing a career in photography. These bright minds are exploring their next steps in life, and it was inspiring to share a glimpse into the world of capturing moments for a living.

I kicked things off with a bit about my journey—how I got into the field, some of the bumps (and potholes!) along the road, and what’s kept me hooked all these years. Then, we dove into a hands-on session where the students took headshots of each other using my professional gear—lights, camera, backdrop, the whole works.

The image here? One of the students took this of me during the session. I was blown away by their enthusiasm and the thoughtful feedback I received from both the students and teachers.

As I wrapped up the day, it hit me: three decades in, and my passion for photography hasn’t dimmed one bit. If anything, seeing their excitement only rekindled it. Here’s to the next generation of storytellers, one click at a time!

An incredible team effort for the 10th year running.

The Warrington Disability Partnership annual Santa Grotto at Walton Hall and Gardens just goes from strength to strength.

It's become the people's favourite, with visitors from all over the North West and beyond. 3500 happy children and their families came through the Grotto this year.

Plans already being made for 2025 as we work to improve the experience for everybody.
