Today, I had the pleasure of visiting a local high school to talk to a group of students about pursuing a career in photography. These bright minds are exploring their next steps in life, and it was inspiring to share a glimpse into the world of capturing moments for a living.

I kicked things off with a bit about my journey—how I got into the field, some of the bumps (and potholes!) along the road, and what’s kept me hooked all these years. Then, we dove into a hands-on session where the students took headshots of each other using my professional gear—lights, camera, backdrop, the whole works.

The image here? One of the students took this of me during the session. I was blown away by their enthusiasm and the thoughtful feedback I received from both the students and teachers.

As I wrapped up the day, it hit me: three decades in, and my passion for photography hasn’t dimmed one bit. If anything, seeing their excitement only rekindled it. Here’s to the next generation of storytellers, one click at a time!

Three weeks in and around 1500 children visiting Santa so far. Today we had the annual Warrington Disability Partnership Santa Dash. This year was really well attended and the weather stayed dry while everybody enjoyed the run/walk around Walton Hall and Gardens.

The Santa Grotto still has a few spaces available for 18th & 19th December but all other dates are fully booked!

Enormously proud to be one of the sponsors for this year's Santa Grotto at Walton Hall and Gardens, particularly for this weekend, where Warrington Disability Partnership will be treating 500 disadvantaged children to a Santa visit with a prezzie and a photo!

Thank you to Madam Mayor of Warrington (Cllr Wendy Johnson) for presenting me with my sponsor's certificate.

Over the course of the next 4 weeks, some 3500 children will be visiting Santa in his Grotto at The Old Riding Stables. This year, there will be Christmas themed stalls, Reindeer hunts and much more.

Our team will be there every day, taking photographs of families with the big man, providing photographs, photo baubles, snow globes and other photo related gifts.

Last night, for the second year running, we attended the fantastic, annual Strictly Glitter Ball event by Willowbrook Hospice at Totally Wicked Stadium, compered by ITVs Paul Crone

The contestants all looked amazing in their glamorous costumes and the event was a total success.

We're really proud to align ourselves with this St Helens charity, who do such wonderful work in their community.

A huge well done to all the contestants and all the organisers who put the event together!

As commercial photographers, we often find ourselves capturing a wide range of subjects, each presenting its own unique challenges.

Just this afternoon, we were tasked with photographing a modular shipping container, both inside and out. This wasn't just any ordinary container—its interior was something quite out of the ordinary.

Recently, we also photographed a complex machine that fills, packs, and labels "pot noodle" style products. Before that, we were on assignment for the new National Lottery company, documenting one of their new depots where millions of scratch cards are distributed nationwide.

Many times, due to NDAs and the importance of client confidentiality, we can't share the final images here. Protecting client privacy is something we take very seriously.

What we love most about our work is that no two days are the same. We get a glimpse into some incredible, often top-secret projects, and have the opportunity to collaborate with the brilliant minds behind them. All of these recent projects were right here in Warrington, a town full of impressive businesses!

Impromptu visit to the studio from Social Media Executive business owner Rebecca (Becs) Bate 🐑 this morning.

We had a great conversation around collaboration. It suddenly dawned on us that we have a massive circle of business associates all around us with loads of synergy.

Unfortunately, I had to cut the conversation short because of an assignment I had booked in but, watch this space. I'm sure we'll be collaborating on something very soon!
