🩵 We are very lucky that our farm is on Rixton Moss, close to Risley Moss and Cadishead Moss, down the road from Rixton Claypits and just across from the River Mersey and a massive nature called Woolston Eyes. We are completely surrounded by nature and it's wonderful. This time of year the mass migration of geese begins and they all start to accumulate in these nature reserves. I haven't filmed any of the geese this week, I've simply watched and marvelled at the sheer amount of them, my kids have loved watching them fly over, in V shaped formations, 1000s of them!!
We have had some great conversations about where are they going, why do they fly like they do, where have they all come from, when will they be back, how far do they fly, what kind of geese are they.....so many questions!! 😅
