We all love having flowers in our home, but do you know how to look after them to increase their lifespan? Here’s my top tips for keeping your blooms looking their very best. 1. Remove any leaves from the stems that will go below the water line, this stops any bacteria getting into the water. 2. Remove any guard petals. These are the outer petals that can often look a tad bruised whilst they’ve been doing their job and guarding 3. Trim the ends at a 45 degree angle to give you blooms the maximum surface space to take in water 4. Fresh water every other day, repeating the above. 5. Flower food on day 4 6. Position your flowers in a cool but not cold place. Certainly not a warm place like a window or near heating. A bright but not sunny room would be ideal!
