A Hundred Years Of Service
Quietly tucked into the corner of Campbell Crescent Purbrook stands the Deverell Hall which is anything but quiet. The Hall was full of community spirit and laughter as groups who regularly hire got together to celebrate it's centenary. A new memorial stone located on the exterior wall above the front window commemorates the occasion and although the Hall may be old the groups within show a diversity of both age and interests. Thank you to Councillor Paul Tansom for attending to help us make new memories going forward.

Purbrook Horticultural Society will be holding their Spring Show at Deverell Hall and doors open to the public at 2pm.

This local society is open to ALL who are interested in gardening, and is always well supported by the local community. If you would like to visit or take a peek, then just pop along on Sunday 24th March 2024.

Looking to install a Defib Machine? If you are a local community hall, building, workplace or association thinking about installing an AED Defib machine, then there are still places left to register your interest. The Department of Health and Social Care is currently running a £1 million match funded Community Automated External Defibrillators Fund, aimed at increasing the number of AEDs in public places where they are most needed and to help save lives.

Sunday 4th February 2024 - TABLE TOP SALE!!! DOORS OPEN 1PM to 4PM. Our Deverell Hall Preschool will be having a table top sale on this date at the hall.

To book a table so you can sell your items, then please contact the Deverell Hall Preschool directly. To attend the event, again, all enquiries should be directed to the preschool. There are still tables available to hire, and whatever you earn you keep. Please contact Jane and her team on 023 9224 0645 during working hours, or email them.

Saturday 9th December 2023 - 2.30PM to 4.30PM - The Purbrook Community Choir Christmas Concert at Deverell Hall. Come along and join the annual Christmas fundraising concert with proceeds going towards the Rowans Hospice.

There has been a lot happening over the last few months at Deverell Hall, and Summer Holidays don't stop work for many people.

Deverell Hall in Purbrook is pleased to announce that we have now installed and activated a public access Defibrillator (otherwise also known as PAD or CPAD).

Cannot believe that we are nearly into May already! These last 5 months seemed to have been a blur, but lets hope we are getting some warmer weather coming to cheer us all up. Over the coming months we are going to try and talk about the different regular hall hirers that use Deverell Hall in Purbrook. Stay tuned!

On Saturday 26th November 2022 we were proud to host an event for Havant Lions and the PCaSO - Prostate Cancer Support Organisation - who conducted a PSA BLOOD TESTING EVENT. 350 men were tested for possible indications of Prostate Cancer. 316 reported in as green, which is good. However 14 showed as amber and 20 men registered as red, and need further investigation.

This doesn't mean it is all bad. In actual fact early diagnosis can make a huge difference and we wish all those concerned get a positive outcome. We hope to hold the event next year again (pending approval from the organisers), and here are some pictures from that day!
