The research: 🌻Improves memory related tasks in seniors: 100 seniors participated in a Rutgers research study, in which some received flowers and others did not. Participants in the active group showed a significant increase in happiness and improved performance on memory tasks. 🌷Increases workplace productivity and creativity: In an eight-month study, the Texas A&M University research team explored the link between flowers and plants and workplace productivity. The study found participants generated a greater abundance of ideas and more creative solutions when flowers and plants were present. 🌼Decreases stress and anxiety: In a study of 170 women participants, the University of North Florida showed that people who lived with flowers in their homes for just a few days had a significant decrease in their levels of stress and improvements in their moods. 🌿 Increases compassion for others, reduces stress: A behavioral research study conducted by Dr. Nancy Etcoff of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, revealed that people feel more compassionate toward others, have less worry and anxiety, and feel less depressed when fresh cut flowers are present in the home. I personally love looking at fresh cut flowers first thing in the morning.
