I never thought that making a birthday cake for my first grandchild in 2006 would develop into anything other than making cakes for my grandchildren. It wasn't perfect but for a first attempt it was quite good - even if I say so myself! When my son got married a year later he wanted me to make his wedding cake. So I took all my baking equipment with me, declared the ingredients at customs and made

the cake as soon as I arrived. It was from that moment Blushh grew from that one cake into a small business that provides cakes that not only look good but taste good. Whatever your budget Blushh can accommodate your needs especially when planning a wedding, large party or children's birthday.

Our Story

I never thought that making a birthday cake for my first grandchild in 2006 would develop into Blushh Cakes of today. My first bakes indeed weren’t perfect, but perfection was not the point – it’s about passion.

1 year after my first family celebration bake, my son got married in Australia. He asked me to create his custom wedding cake. Maybe most people would decline (due to the distance!); however, love is stronger than long flights (haha), so I took all of my baking equipment & goodies with me on-flight, declared them at customs and cooked on arrival.

After a successful reception abroad, Blushh Cakes was established. My focus was on being able to accommodate a range of needs, regardless of budget, and the cakes needed not only to look good but tastes great too!
