According to the legend, this is the area where Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, enjoyed taking a bath. According to Greek mythology, Aphrodite would meet her lover Adonis when he stopped for a drink.
The raised platform that overlooks the area is a very romantic setting - a wonderful spot to start married life.
The platform stands within the grounds of the Aphrodite Taverna. The owners will be more than happy to organise your cocktail reception after the wedding ceremony as well as your reception dinner should you wish to celebrate with family and friends.

Our wedding day could not have been anymore perfect from start to finish and we wish we could do it all again. Carol contacted us the day we took off from Birmingham and from there she was on hand to answer any questions and we were always able to get hold of her. We could not have wished for a better planner. She was very relaxed and instantly made us feel at ease. Our town hall meeting was very quick and efficient and she had all the details to run through for the day so we instantly felt like our day was in good hands, and all we had to do before the wedding was relax. If we were unsure on any details for the day or how we should schedule, she was able to point us in the right direction.
The venue, flowers, hair and makeup, cake, DJ, photographer and transport were all perfect and Carol coordinated with everyone to make sure our day just so! We honestly cannot thank everyone that was involved to make our day perfect and will 100% be recommending Planet Weddings to anyone who wants a destination wedding.
