If, like me, you love Amaryllis in your Christmas florals, my tip is to just pluck out the little anthers from the stamens in the centre of the flowers before they get fluffy, so the pollen doesn’t land on plates or guests - or worse still, in the champagne! 🥂🌹🥂

So today I made myself a scented Christmassy Candle, with Pine, Rosemary & Lavender decorations from my garden! Last Christmas I got “The Scented Candle Workshop” book by Niko Dafkos & Paul Firmin which has inspired a couple of candle-making sessions so far! It’s a really lovely book - oh, and it matches my kitchen so it stays out on display!! 🕯️🎄🕯️

Forgot to share this from my trip to Lofoten, Norway in July; I wasn’t sure whether it was a sea anemone or a straw flower, it was just on the floor outside the fish drying racks. I do think it was a sea anemone, but it was pretty and caught my eye! 🌸🪼🌸

The Designer Florist

Created by the former owner of Parry’s Flower Design in Lancaster, Victoria Johnston, Diva Bouquets Studio opened at Number 2, New Street, Carnforth in September 2017 and has gone from strength to strength, with it’s vibrant window displays attracting people to call in and experience the lovely displays and different flowers within.

Diva Bouquets is taking on increasing Business Contract work due to the efficiency and level of service provided, and the popularity of the modern Diva wedding bouquets and arrangements that Victoria makes mean Diva Bouquets is getting booked up for weddings at various venues throughout 2018, and she is frequently being asked to display modern floral arrangements at various events and promotions. The Diva “Petals and Prosecco” Workshops have also proved very popular and will run at popular times throughout the year.
