Lucy is a lace and satin crepe dress with an art deco inspired lace bodice with scalloped edging. The skirt is made from their signature stretch satin crepe, full circular skirt with a puddle train and deep pockets (our favourite thing at 1840!). The waistband accentuates the waist and is a really flattering element to this dress. The back is finished with a V neckline and scalloped edging.
The lace was carefully cut to mirror and match… inspired by the collection name ‘Reflection’ ✨🤍

We are so excited to be relocating to The Stables at Northwood House!
It’s bigger and on the ground floor, we have our own kitchen so we can extend our bar offerings - don’t worry our drinks licence is coming too.
We can’t wait to become part of the Northwood House family, with beautiful gardens, a wedding venue and the Lawn Bar on our doorstep for Cowes Week, with the bustling high street and Red Jet a few minutes walk away it was an opportunity we couldn’t miss.

1. Structured bodice - wedding dresses are built with so much more structure and support, especially when they are designed to be strapless. Boning is what usually provides the structure and support to stay up, no matter your boob size!
2. Detachable straps - detachable straps are always an option if you’re feeling a little bare or want that little support or cover up on the arms whilst still having that strapless look. A lot of our dresses at 1840 come with detachable straps as we LOVE a dress that has options. Or, a seamstress can make them for you.
3. Alterations - The last thing you want to be doing is constantly pulling up your dress all day. A good seamstress is super valuable whether your dress is strapless or not. A seamstress will help your dress fit you perfectly so you wont be constantly hitching up your dress.
Don’t fear a strapless, there are so many options out there and alterations that can be made. If you’re unsure whether a strapless is for you, try one.
