Carl Beckles, "new" independent artist's foundation was built from his early surround of 70s funk and reggae, 80s pop and soul, 90s R&B and gospel. Debut album, 'Light In A Dark Place', is available on all major digital stores, released 3rd November 2021, an expression of those genres with the good news at heart. Album was co-written and executive produced by Carl, productions by Rock River and multi-platinum producer, Ian Copeland Green (previously for Madonna, Brand New Heavies, Kenny Thomas, Maxi Priest). Carl met Ian, in 2015, although loosely, the last day he saw brother, Linton Beckles (formerly of UK funk & soul band, Central Line). Although the album took years to start, late 2019, it was birthed out of Linton's final advice, “make music you love, be true to yourself, don't follow what everyone else is doing! Wanna rebuild recording studio even if it's one track we do". Unfortunately, Linton passed 2 weeks later. Carl built-up courage and followed the inspired journey!
