Wow, just like magic, and we're BACK! with another Shamazzzzzzing initiative..well ,it' not long to go before Black History Month, and we thought, let's do it in RESEARCH style.
Yes! we are thrilled to announce our joint collaboration with The National Archives, the largest archive in the United Kingdom, official archive and publisher for the UK Government, and for England and Wales.
The Archives hosts an extensive collection of over 11 million historical records, spanning more than a millennium, from the Domesday Books to contemporary governmental papers and digital resources.
As part of our collaborative efforts, we are extending an invitation to individuals who are interested or passionate about Black History to join us for a special one-day trip to the National Archive.
The day promises to be informative and educational where Black History Month is not only talked about but actively engaged with by local communities to further their knowledge and understanding of their ancestral legacies and untold stories.

This yearβs chosen theme will recognise and honour the rich tapestry of Black British history, acknowledging the contributions, struggles, and experiences that have shaped our society and beyond.
We aim to bring to light the unspoken distant voices, stories, and historical narrative that often remain in the shadows of Britainβs archives and museum corridors.
We'll be delving into the Archives in a special curated workshop to unearth new materials that will link the African & Caribbean Diaspora journey throughout history to that of West Yorkshire, particularly Leeds.
Participants will get the chance to,
πTouch, examine ,aanexplore sensitive archive documents.
πEngage in a live panel discussion with record keepers and historians about the importance of preserving and sharing these stories & archive materials.
