Yesterday we visited Community Creative Studios CIC to have a look around at their new work space. It is looking amazing, so cosy and welcoming. I can't wait to run my first class from there. Please give them a like / follow. I also had the pleasure of speaking to Emma and Tristan from STAK.life CIC / Stefan's Memory Stones. They are doing amazing work around bereavement. Please give them a like / follow too. We shall be taking a memory stone to Prague when we go at the end of this month. 💐

Good luck to Stuart Hughes (Stu) and Amy Hughes with their open day at Community Creative Studios CIC today. If you get a spare half hour please pop in and see the amazing work these two are doing in producing a community studio. They are have studio space, rentable work areas and are running classes to help with mental health and sen. They are so passionate and really do deserve for this to do well. So please spread the word and pop in today between 10 - 4. ###

We are having an open day at the studio!

This Saturday 10-4.

We have a classroom, see what upcoming classes and groups we have and we even have some taster craft sessions that you can book onto.

This space can also be used for other small businesses to rent out to hold their own creative classes or for anyone who is looking for a space to run a group.

We will also have the community workshop space that you will be able to view. This space is aimed at other creatives who need more space to work. It isn't fully where we want it to be yet but we will be starting to rent the space out to people from November.

And lastly there is project six2six in the workshop out the back, Stu will be there with the scaletrix talking about the men's group to support mental health and the groups for teens who have an interest in cars and motorsport but haven't quite found their place in the world yet.

I want this community space to aid people's mental wellbeing, be a space people can connect with others, and be a stepping stone for other small businesses that need some space to grow 💖

We are based near home bargains near Westwood Cross. Just search Community Creative Studios CIC on maps and you will find us!

There is free parking available.

So most of my followers know FoliagePlants38 very well, so I just wanted to give you a little bit of an insight into my other location Amys Emporium / Community Creative Studios CIC Amy has always crafted but now she has taken it a step further and as well as a business, she is also running a community creative studio which allows local groups and businesses to use her premises to hold their craft ventures. Please give her a follow to see how hard she has worked over the past year, since moving into her new premises. She is based at westwood cross, behind B&Q. The venue has free parking and a coffee bar.

So, it's creeping up to that time of year again (I know summer has only just arrived) Just trying to gauge interest in wreath workshops at and . Sorry I've been so quiet. Between my day job, my children and my upcoming wedding I've been pretty flat out. Above is a coffin spray I made last week for a much loved lady. I am still taking funeral orders and I will be back soon with some dates for my Christmas wreath workshops. Mel 💐

While we set up and wait to hear back from grants we are applying for we are trying to raise some money to get this project up and running.

By the summer holidays I want to have a schedule of support groups, subsidised school holiday activities and creative classes up and running.

If we could get our crowdfunder shared and out there and get 1500 people who believe in what we are trying to achieve to donate £10 we would get to out target.

There are rewards available in exchange for donations.

People often ask, "How long will my flowers last?" This really depends on a lot of factors. These flowers have been in my office for nearly 2 weeks, out of direct sunlight and in a cool environment, in water. The ones I had at home next to a radiator and window, in floral foam, died a few days ago. 💐
