Last night I wrapped up my final wreath class of the year at the beautiful Mendip Springs Golf Club 🌿✨ Such a lovely venue, and it was amazing to see some familiar faces alongside lots of new ones too!

Mendip Springs holds a special place in my heart—it’s actually where I did my very first wedding as a florist, so it’s always such a joy to return.

Thank you so much for having me and for all the laughter, creativity, and festive cheer. I can’t wait to see you all again next year! ❤️

Here’s a nice thing to get you lovely people in the festive spirit.
Thursday 12th December will see us host our first Christmas Fayre we will be joined by our friends from Wsm Foodbank and Weston Hospicecare to highlight the amazing work they do for others in our town.
We will also be joined by local crafts people offering their fantastic hand crafted products. MC Creations, Dreams in Plastic, Patricia Ann crafts, Worlebury wood crafts, The Charmed cavern, That's So Tessy, Men in Sheds, Kaysmakes and Sheila. Plus others.

Mince pies and Mulled cider available.

Last night I was at the beautiful The New Inn for a more intimate wreath-making class, and it was absolutely lovely! 🌿✨ This venue is such a gem—super cozy and perfect for a festive evening.

Glynn and Linzi, who also own The Old King’s Head, hosted us again and treated us to their famous homemade mulled cider. I can safely say there wasn’t a drop left by the end of the night —it was that good! 🍷

It was just me and my lovely mum on this one, and we made a great team as always. This time, I made sure Mum had the chance to make her own wreath instead of being my full-time (and unpaid!) helper—not that she didn’t still try to be! ❤️

I also want to thank the wonderful group of ladies who joined me last night—you were so supportive and full of brilliant ideas for future classes! Your enthusiasm and creativity make these workshops such a joy to host, and I can’t wait to see where we go next.

Another huge thank you to The Old King’s Head for hosting another fantastic wreath class last night! 🌿✨

It was so much fun seeing everyone’s creativity in full swing—every wreath was completely unique, and it was such a pleasure to help bring your ideas to life. You all did such an amazing job! 🎄💐

A big thank you to Glynn and Linzi for putting on yet another brilliant evening, letting me take over the back of the pub, and treating us all to their delicious homemade mulled cider—it’s becoming the perfect festive tradition! 🍷

And to the wonderful locals who, once again, saved the day by helping me with endless trips to and from the van—you’re officially part of the team now! Your support means the world to me.

A special shoutout to Tracy for her homemade mince pies—they were absolutely delicious and such a lovely treat to keep us all going! 🥧 I can’t tag her so if someone can that would be lovely ❤️

It was also such a treat to see some of my brides again last night! It was lovely to catch up with you, and even more special to see you all meet each other—what a fantastic group of women you are. 💕

Lastly, to my incredible mum and dad—Mum, you’re my ultimate unpaid assistant who always goes above and beyond, and Dad, your clean-up skills are second to none. I’m so grateful for everything you both do. ❤️

To everyone who joined me last night, thank you for making it such a special evening. Your laughter and festive spirit are the reason I love hosting these classes so much! 💕

A few of the lovely ladies from my wreath class asked if I’d share how I decorated the staircase I was doing this weekend, so here’s the breakdown! 🎄✨

I started by attaching chicken wire along the banister, securing it with cable ties to create a strong base. Then I added a layer of Leylandii/conifer as my foundation, making sure to work in one direction for a nice, cohesive flow. After that, I added layers of spruce, pine, holly, eucalyptus, and a few other types of foliage to add plenty of texture and depth—this is what makes the garland look lush and full!

Next came the lights (which, in hindsight, I should’ve added under the foliage first!) but I weaved them through afterward, and it worked out just fine. Once I was happy with the overall shape, I started decorating with dried oranges, fruits, pinecones, and brown silk bows, along with a few other bits I picked up along the way.

The key to a great garland is mixing different textures and tones of greenery—it really helps bring it to life! I’m so pleased with how it turned out. Here’s a photo to inspire your festive decorating. Let me know what you think! 🌿🎁✨

What an amazing night at The Old Kings Head for my biggest wreath class yet—16 lovely ladies all crafting away! 🌿✨

A huge thank you to Glynn and Linzi for hosting such a lovely event, letting me take over the entire back of the pub, and for that incredible homemade mulled cider—it was the perfect festive touch! 🍷

Massive thanks to all the locals I roped into helping with endless boxes and foliage trips to the van—literally couldn’t have actually done this class without you all!

And once again, a massive thank you to my amazing mum, my ultimate helper. She’s the best at a job she never applied for, doesn’t get paid for, and is definitely never allowed to quit. ❤️

Big love to my wonderful sister, my flower friend Sarah, my dad and every other person for stepping in with the best cleanup crew energy (and plenty of Prosecco to keep me going!).

Special mention to my rather annoying husband for giving all my ladies his unsolicited advice, despite not having a single creative bone in his body—you’ve got to love him, right?

Lastly, to the incredible group of women who joined me last night—your laughter, creativity, and festive spirit made the evening truly magical. You remind me why I love hosting these classes, and I’m so grateful to share these moments with you all. 💐🎄

Super Excited for tonight’s wreath class at The Old Kings Head! I’ve been up to my elbows in spruce, prepping and still haven’t quite had a chance to make my own wreath yet—typical florist life! “Christmas isn’t about what’s under the tree, but about who’s in our hearts and the memories we treasure most.”

Seeing this wreath I made last year placed in memory of a customer’s loved one moved me so much today. It’s such a beautiful way to honour her during the Christmas period. When they asked me to create another this year, I felt so privileged to continue being part of this heartfelt tradition.

This moment is a reminder of what Christmas truly means: cherishing the people we love, holding their memories close, and celebrating the bonds and traditions that last forever.
