Stargazing in the Dark Sky Reserve at Exmoor’s Dark Sky Hub. There is no better place to stargaze than in Exmoor on a clear, moonless night.
And today we ran a 5 mile guided walk around the Valley of Rocks with 2 lovely ladies, Alde and Ruth all the way from Melbourne, Australia.... the weather was perfect....

Our final Winter Stargazing Event @ Exford Tearooms went out on a high with such a lovely group of people... despite the cloud and mizzle, they all enjoyed the talk and then we delved into the myths and legends of the star constellations...... fabulous night....

Coming later in the year is our very own "Landscape Astrophotography Course" in association with Shaun Davey who is a renowned Exmoor photographer. The course runs at Lynmouth Pavilion starting on Tuesday 15th October 2024 from 7pm - 8.30pm with a second follow up session on Saturday 25th January 2025 at 1pm. In between there will also be an ad hoc "on location" opportunity for all the budding Astrophotographers on the course. Well after a 2 day highly intensive training course, I am pleased to report that both Pete and I are now fully qualified Level 2 Outdoor Activity First Aiders.... Great course and highly recommend to anyone doing a similar job....https://www.apex-mr.co.uk/pages/level-2-activity-first-aid
Tomorrow we embark on 2 days of Search and Rescue First Aid Training to enable us to bring you all of those wonderful guided Exmoor walks in complete safety...... Dates to book will be coming soon.....
