Priory Cottages and Wedding Venue A unique wedding venue in Yorkshire set in the idyllic courtyard of the 12th century Syningthwaite Priory.

A traditional barn conversion with a contemporary internal design provides the perfect setting for your ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast for smaller parties (seats up to 60 for dinner). It is a blank canvass and can be decorated to your personal preference and theme. The marquee offers a larger space for a wedding breakfast and can be designed to meet your exact needs. We have seven

self catering cottages for your guests which can also be used as mid-week holiday cottages. This allows the whole of the Priory Cottages and Wedding Venue to be yours during your wedding and stay.

We love seeing our couples visions coming together. H&A opted for a more family style set up for the marquee with three long tables, finished off perfectly with candle light and foliage. 🌿

The marquee is such a versatile space allowing you to really make it your own. You even get to pick the colour of the carpet (anything from brilliant white to hot pink)!

Whether you are wanting a spring, summer, autumn or winter wedding is the perfect venue for you.

No matter what day your wedding takes place your celebrations take over the whole venue and grounds from midday the day before to set up, until 10.30am the day after your wedding.

We love a floral hanging installation (in this case three!) and didn’t disappoint. 2 delicate clouds either side of the true show stopper filled with foliage, flowers and ribbons.

This teamed with hundreds of coloured candles and delicate bud vases creates the perfect balance. And what do we spy over in the corner…. Swipe to see a close up of creation!

Is it too early to mention CHRISTMAS….? ⭐️DATE FOR THE DIARY⭐️ After the success of our summer open day we have decided to host a Christmas Venue Showcase on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th December 2021. It is an amazing opportunity to see the venue fully dressed with a few festive touches. Again, viewings will be by appointment only with one of our experienced wedding planners, who will be able to discuss your wedding in detail over a glass of fizz and a mince pie.
