We are delighted to be teaming up with Trees not Tees for 2025 and beyond. This will give participants the opportunity to swap their event tee for a tree to be planted instead. 🌳

Your choice to ditch the merch in 2025 will directly help Trees not Tees in their fight against climate change right here in the UK. They have 2 sites in Scotland where they are planting native trees such as oak, birch, rowan and alder.

Very well deserved, congratulations Craig!

We are overjoyed to share that our remarkable Charity Ambassador, Craig Maxwell, has been awarded the prestigious OBE for his extraordinary fundraising efforts🌟

From the moment Craig first reached out to the charity, following his stage 4 incurable cancer diagnosis in 2022, his passion and determination to make a meaningful difference for cancer patients and their families in Wales have been nothing short of inspiring. Craig has continually gone above and beyond, and this incredible recognition is a testament to his tireless commitment and heartfelt mission. We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate this well-deserved honour alongside him💚

Craig’s statement:

“It is an incredible honour to receive the OBE. The support we have received as a family has been inspirational, enabling us to navigate through some of the most challenging years of our lives and transform the darkest of times into a force for good. Together with hundreds of dedicated fundraisers, we have raised over £1.5 million in essential funds to support the cancer pathway in Wales.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way, and want to express our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and the entire team at Velindre, whose unwavering care has kept me going and empowered us to continue our mission.

While this recognition is truly humbling, our work is far from finished. We remain committed to supporting the fight against cancer and look forward to making a lasting impact in the years ahead. Thank you once again to all those who have helped us on this journey.”

Craig’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. From completing monumental cycling challenges, including Cardiff to Paris and Paris to Bordeaux, to conquering Mount Toubkal in Morocco, walking 780 miles of the Wales Coastal Path, running the London Marathon, and so much more, Craig has shown us all what it means to channel adversity into action.

His ongoing efforts to raise funds and awareness inspire us daily, and we are so grateful for everything he has achieved in support of Velindre Cancer Charity🤝

How about the Squerryes Vineyard Loop, this is a 100km ride incorporating some of the most famous climbs in the area such as York Hill – the site of the oldest continuing cycling race in the world. We would be based at Squerryes Vineyard where you will start with breakfast and finish with a well earned lunch.

Slovenia arguably have 2 of the best cyclists hailing from there in Primož Roglič and Tadej Pogačar, both having major wins over the last few years, most recently the Tour de France this year for Pogačar.

This has well and truly put Slovenia on the cycling map and for good reason, with it's high quality roads, breath-taking views and sweeping valleys, it is an ideal spot for a few days cycling.

We include the Vršič Pass, one of, if not the, most famous road cycling climbs in Slovenia and on the way we pass through Bled, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Slovenia has recently been making a name for itself in the cycling world. Primož Roglič became the first Slovenian to win a Grand Tour when he won the 2019 Vuelta a España. In 2020, Tadej Pogačar won the Tour de France, while Primož Roglič finished second.

Whilst we primarily run guided bike tours in the UK and Europe we also offer walks and runs around local parks, cities and towns.

For example you could take on the Thames Path Challenge, a one-day marathon walk from Greenwich in the East to Richmond in the West. Our route includes the famous sights and landmarks of London – The O2, Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and Battersea Power Station to name a few.
