Beautiful day for our outdoor seed, sowing.. I'm blessed by living so close to the sea that hopefully I can get away with this early sowing, I'll do a backup one I the greenhouse just in case🤞🏻.

We've temporarily made a fortress to stop the pheasants from any further damage to my flower crops. Hopefully, I've cracked it this time, and they won't work out a way in...

But in any case, it really is a lovely day to be doing things outside.

Just love the colours and different textures in this winter bouquet.

Dried flowers bring something different to a bouquet, especially if you mix them with some fresh stems, plus the added advantage of a few stems of scented winter flowering shrubs make it a pretty awesome combo..

We have lots of lovely fresh produce and also grab yourself a last-minute Christmas gift for someone. Plus, just for today, we have complimentary homemade mince pies and warming mulled wine to share..

What a beautiful festive morning.
The shop is open today with plenty of lovely seasonal delights including fresh veg grown here, delicious Sourdough, Christmas decorations and wreaths all made here , plus beautiful pottery.

Delicious fresh Sourdough bread from is now in, it smells fabulous, come and get it whilst it's still warm.
Plus some festive decorations handmade using our lovely flowers and also the all important fresh vegetables perfect for a warming soup to go with the delicious bread..

So much lovely winter vegetables on offer today freshly picked pumpkin, leeks, parsnips , butternut squash, carrots and plenty more, great for warming soups and stews, or roasted with your Sunday lunch 😋.
Plus so much colour still from the fresh flowers picked this morning lovely chrysanthemum in such a array of beautiful colours strawflowers and dahlia still , also a large selection of dried flowers available..

Had alot of fun at Melpash show yesterday.
Haven't delved into showing flowers before so I thought I'd give it ago and see if I would be up to show standards..
I was pleasantly surprised to get 2 first prizes
3 second prizes
4 third prizes
and a highly commended

Very pleased with that result for a first time, absolutely loved it but it seems I may have caught the bug for showing flowers now as well as showing ponies!!
Looks like next year will be even busier that this one!!

It's been a very busy week here, lots of wholesale flowers flying out the door, all for local weddings both days this weekend.
And separately I've been asked to make some buttonholes for another local wedding.
It makes me so happy to think that my beautiful cut flowers help to make people's happy day special..

I'm so pleased with my dahlia seed trial this year, they are looking fab in my opinion.
These plants have been grown from a seed head off of a Café au lait dahlia that I grew last year( dahlia in the last picture).
I planted them in the winter and waited to see if anything would germinate.
Well I was surprised to have so many seedlings pop up I reckon there was around 30 or so that germinated, I potted them on and have been waiting to see what they would come out like as dahlias don't come true from seed they will have different characteristics from there parents or grandparents plants.
They are so bright and cheerful and the bee's love them I feel that it's a win win all around. 🥰

Lovely wholesale order gone out today, it's amazing how well the flowers coped in the heat of last week in fact they did much better than I did!!.
These are all destined for the same wedding at the weekend.
Our beautiful British cut flowers are going to help make a special day truly wonderful..

The Saturday pop up shop is now open, come along early before it gets too hot.
I've got almost all of the most perfect ingredients for a summer bbq, british cut flowers for the table, delicious salad and the best free range meat for the bbq..

It's glorious weather the flowers in the field are just loving it.
I'm really impressed with the outdoor sweetpeas, they are storming away with loving long stems.
The Roses are first year plants and I'm really happy with the growth and how full of flowers they are, plus the scent is amazing..

Huge congratulations to D and L who got married at the weekend. It was a privilege for us to be able to supply the flowers for thier wedding in our local church of St Nicholas here in Abbotsbury, and then to do the flowers for the reception

We are delighted to be included in the Abbotsbury open day on Sunday 19th of June.
It's been awhile since there's been the opportunity to visit the Gatehouse garden and also the Manor House Garden, there's going to be plenty to see with lots of changes happened at the Manor House.
Plus you can then take the opportunity to stroll up the road to Rosemary Lane where our flower field will be open to the public, come up and enjoy the seasonal cut flowers that I grow , and also the views are stunning. Entry is free to the field, parking is in the village carpark. Look forward to seeing some of you .

Gosh it's busy around here at the moment..
Beautiful flowers gone out this morning to make happy occasions wonderful.
Always love the thought that I can bring some form of joy to such occasions.
Plus we have lots of babies around. The two Goslings are both orphan Canada geese, Shelby the bigger one we found behind the polytunnel and Gerald the smaller one came from Abbotsbury Swannery as his mother laid his egg in a Swan nest? Swans and geese don't mix well so he's ended up with us for now..
The two polecats kits are Rosy and Ivy, they are just the best very playful and extremely inquisitive and just so much fun to have..
