If you fancy a little drive East, all are welcome to a free lecture recital at Bournemouth University this Friday 28th June at 17.15. Weymouth-based musician Duncan Honeybourne will be speaking about life as a professional concert pianist with autism and playing a programme of music by Jessy Reason, Hans Gal, Beethoven and Susan Spain-Dunk. This is the closing event in an Open University symposium on the theme of words, music and silence. The lecture recital will finish no later than 18.30 and there is a glass of wine to follow. You don't need a ticket and can park anywhere on campus. Just come to Kimmeridge House (BU Wallisdown campus) shortly before 17.15. All free!

Grand hurrahs and bravos to the talented young musicians who performed in our Young Artist Showcase today. It was wonderful to see them performing with so much poise, musicality and commitment. They are the future and it’s important that we support and encourage them - which is why are presenting these concerts.

This lovely, welcoming, historic church in the heart of Weymouth is the venue for our monthly lunchtime concerts. Its shape is akin to London’s Wigmore Gall, hence it enjoys a rather fine acoustic for music.

We've been at the heart of the local community for hundreds of years.

Today we host a range of activities during the week. We're also home to the Mustard Seeds crafters.

Next time you pass by, drop in and see what's going on. You might be surprised at how lively this old church is.
