A big thank you 🙏

…to the lovely ladies who joined me at the weekend for our Dried Wreath Workshop at the beautiful Souter Lighthouse and the Leas, at the weekend.

We had such a relaxed time creating your gorgeous wreaths – each one was full of character, colour, and creativity! I was so impressed by how fabulous they all turned out. 😍

It’s always a treat to see how everyone brings their own style to the table – I think that’s the real beauty of these workshops.

🍂 My autumn workshops are just around the corner (can you believe it!), and if you'd like to be the first to hear about them (they do tend to book up quickly!) you can join my email list via the link below👇

🌞 Best Fresh Flowers for Warm Weather!

When the temperatures rise, not all flowers can take the heat. If you’re dressing your home, planning a wedding or event, or just want flowers that won’t wilt in a warm room, here are my top choices:

💥 Heat-Loving Heroes:

🔸Carnations – Long-lasting, frilly and available in endless shades. A florist’s summer staple!
🔸Sea Holly (Eryngium) – Striking, spiky texture and totally unfazed by warm conditions.
🔸Orchids – Especially cymbidiums and dendrobiums; they love warmth and stay elegant.
🔸Alstroemeria – Bright, cheerful and built to last, even in hot rooms.
🔸Zinnias – Sturdy summer favourites with amazing colours.
🔸Lisianthus – Surprisingly tolerant of heat, with delicate-looking but resilient petals.
🔸Statice – A great filler flower that keeps its shape and colour well.

If you love flowers and want to learn more tips like these, why not sign up to my email list to be notified straight away of my upcoming flower workshops👇

🌾 Dried Flowers: Beautiful, Long-Lasting & Low Maintenance

Dried flowers are having a real moment — and for good reason! Not only do they bring a natural, rustic charm to your space, but they also last for months (even years!) with just a little bit of care.

Here’s why I love working with dried blooms:
🔸 They’re long-lasting — no water required!
🔸 They’re sustainable — less waste, more use.
🔸 Their textures and tones are simply gorgeous.

Top Tips to Help Them Last:
🔸 Keep them out of direct sunlight to stop fading
🔸 Avoid moisture and humidity (no steamy bathrooms!)
🔸 A quick dust every now and then
🔸 Handle gently — they may be delicate, but they’re worth it

Whether you’ve made a dried wreath at one of our workshops, or planning to come to a future dried workshop (dried table centre coming soon!), dried flowers are a beautiful way to enjoy the beauty of nature all year round.

Do you love dried flowers too? Let me know your favourite ones in the comments!

🩷 It’s Rose Awareness Week!

This week, we’re celebrating the nation’s favourite flower – the rose – in all its fragrant, romantic glory.

Two beautiful new roses have recently been unveiled:
👑 The King’s Rose, named in honour of His Majesty King Charles III
👒 Catherine’s Rose, dedicated to The Princess of Wales

Both were launched at RHS Chelsea and symbolise much more than beauty – they carry powerful messages of healing, hope, and support.

Roses have always stood for love, remembrance, and renewal, and this week, we’re embracing their softer side: the quiet power of healing through flowers.

My personal favourite? The dreamy Sweet Avalanche, pictured here – soft blush tones, big ruffled petals, and a timeless elegance. 😍

Whether it’s in a bouquet, your garden, or one of our flower workshops, there’s always a rose to lift the spirits.

💬 Do you have a favourite rose?
I’d love to know – pop it in the comments below! 👇
