𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Former One Direction Star Liam Payne Has Died Following Incident

Singer-songwriter and former One Direction band member, Liam Payne has died aged 31, following an incident in Argentina.

Payne, 31, has died outside a hotel in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires.

According to a police statement, the man fell from the third floor of a hotel located in Palermo, an upscale district of the city.

Alberto Crescenti, head of the city's SAME emergency medical service, has told local television he had suffered "very serious injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall" and there was "no possibility of resuscitation".

Local emergency medics say they arrived at the Casa Sur hotel shortly after 17:00 local time (21:00 BST), AFP news agency reported.

Liam Payne rose to fame after taking part in the 7th series of X Factor in 2010. Originally auditioning as a solo artist he was put into a group with Harry, Niall, Louis and Zayn to form One Direction.

Although they did not win the television programme that year, finishing 3rd to Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle, they enjoyed global success, even bigger than The Beatles.

Following the bands indefinite hiatus in 2016, Liam enjoyed varied success with his solo career including releasing Familiar with J Balvin.
