It’s that time again to remind you that the folk club is approaching. Friday 27th June at Whitstable Social Club, Belmont Road. 8pm start but get there early to fill your glasses and get the best seat. This month we have the wonderful Four Gone Conclusion coming to entertain us. They say:

We are a four-piece band, based in East Sussex, who play and sing a range of very eclectic material from traditional folk songs, to classical guitar duets and more contemporary music.

See you there on Friday.

Our Story

Whitstable Folk Club most often has a singaround format with a feature guest. The guest is included in the singaround but with an extended spot. It's all very informal and we welcome all comers to sing, play, dance or just watch/listen. We have a changeable entrance fee for Guest nights and on singers nights without guests we ask for a £2.00 contribution at the door for all. We meet at Whitstable Labour Club and enjoy the benefits of lower cost real ales and extended opening hours. Quite often our folk nights have '3 halves'.

We have a ‘sister’ event on the ‘First Friday’ of each month at The Coach & Horses pub in Oxford St, Whitstable, CT5 1DB. This is primarily a traditional tunes session but where singers are welcome. The session is led by Mike Greenwood with his restored hurdy gurdy Mme ‘Belle Mamie’ de Jenzat (age 117 3/4). Commence at 8pm and no charge to join in.
