Bijou Bride 💕

Watercolour and pen illustration of Bijou Trial Studio's new shop front in Faversham, a little gift to thank them for inviting me along to their open evening last week.

Working on this was a lot fun and nice to have a bit of a play and it's given me the idea that I'd like to do a series of illustrations shouting out a few of my favourite wedding businesses and suppliers that I've met and worked alongside, so keep your eyes peeled for some more of these in the future.

Sketching 🖊

Love, love, love getting to sketch the different parts of the Old Kent Barn and remember our own magical day there surrounded by our families and loved ones.

I'm currently working with several couples getting married at this beautiful venue, all with very different styles and ideas for their stationery.

When they're all done it's going to be a great way to show that even if you're getting married at the same venue and using that within your design, that you can really add your own style and story to your stationery.

My 'Why'

Over the last week, I’ve been taking the time to step back and think about why I do the work I do and what motivates me to show up and give it my all.

After some deep reflection and some walks by the sea, I think I’ve figured it out.

A massive thank you to Faye Cornhill and the Wedding Business Bootcamp that she ran last week, how she framed this really helped me understand why I show up each day.

Vicki & Harry - Save the Dates 🪶

It was an absolute pleasure designing these save the date for Harry & Vicki

The design features watercolour illustrations of their beloved dogs, sunflowers, game birds, all personal touches to reflect them, their love story and theme of their wedding.

The finished design was printed on a textured paper stock that goes perfectly with the watercolour style and added to the rustic feel of their day.

Pelham House

Working with clients to bring their vision to life is one of my favorite parts of the process.

This watercolor illustration of Pelham House in Lewes was created for a wedding stationery commission.

We explored different color options together, and while the final design featured pops of color, I'm still in love with this vibrant full-color version.

This gold-foiled welcome sign added a touch of magic to the wedding entrance for Anna & Alec. It was a stylish nod to the "golden thread" theme that beautifully intertwined throughout their special day."

✨ "Friendship is the golden thread that ties the heart of all the world" ✨

This beautiful quote perfectly captured Anna and Alec's sentiment, inspiring both their wedding and the stunning stationery.

Their elegant invitations featured their initials intertwined with a delicate golden thread. Guests then open the invitation to reveal the wedding details and a stylized line illustration of The Orangery in Maidstone.

The final design was printed on a luxurious, smooth, off-white paper stock and paired with matching envelopes.
