Ian & Tom - Live No.10 💜
On today’s Live, I’m talking about the stationery that I created for Ian & Tom who celebrated their marriage and a big birthday this weekend in France.
For their invitations, they wanted to capture the beauty of the Chateau and incorporate their love of Bridgerton and Lady Whistledown within the designs.
In this Live, I talk you through some of the illustrations I created and the different stationery the couple had for their weekend of celebrations.
If you want to know more about this design or any others I’ve previously created, visit my website and feel free to drop me a message.
✨ Styles of Invitations - Live No.9 ✨
During today’s Live, I’m talking about some of the different styles and shapes you can have your invitations designed in and showing the styles that I work with most and how you can make them unique to you and your special day.
I talk you through examples of my single sheet invitations, concertina and my most popular style to create for couples, gate-fold, as well as some of the other styles available through different printers and wedding stationers, along with some tips on paper types, thicknesses and finishes to consider if you are making your own.
If you’re in the process of planning your wedding stationery but have a different style in mind you want to create, drop me a message. I always love trying new designs and bringing couples ideas to life (especially if they think their idea is too out there to make happen).
✨ Next Week ✨
I’ll be back for another portfolio walk through where I’ll be talking you through on of my previous designs and how I created the artwork and finished stationery - see you there

Camilla & Tariq - Wedding Stationery
On today’s Live, I’m talking about a wedding commission I recently wrapped up for a fantastic couple, Camilla & Tariq.
For their wedding stationery I designed their invitations, which featured an illustration of their dog Walter and a scene of the venue and for the day I created their seating chart, personalised menus, Order of Service and table name signs.
The colour scheme for their wedding was yellow and navy, which features throughout each of the items I designed and the groom is also a magician, which is why playing cards featured throughout their stationery suite.
I hope you enjoy learning a bit more about how I created the artwork and illustrations for these designs and that if you’re planning your own wedding you get some inspiration.

Wedding Invites - What Information to include 🖊️
For today’s Live, I’m talking about what information you may want to include in your invitations to give your guests ahead of your wedding.
This is one of the main topics I go over with each couple I work with and it’s really interesting the different details each couple focus on including within their invitations.
To help you out, I’ve broken this down into three sections that I talk about in the video:
1. The Essentials
2. Additional Information
3. R.S.V.P’s (what you need from your guests)
My top tip is to be as concise as possible with your wording. Try to give your guests the essentials that they need for the day, without long explanations why children are/aren’t invited or recommendations about why one hotel is better than another.
For each couple I work with, I have a document of previous wording examples I’ve featured in designs that I can send over to help you with phrasing each section and I also have a blog post on my website going into more depth on the subject of what to include.
I hope you found this Live useful and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to drop me a message.

Wedding Wednesday Live No.6 🎉 Cat & Thurston 🎉
On today’s Live I’m talking about the save the dates and invitations I designed as part of Cat & Thurston wedding stationery.
The theme and style of their wedding was a rustic, tipi, festival vibe and they wanted a design that was bold, colourful and full of meaningful personal touches that reflected them as a couple.
I loved drawing the different illustrations for these invitations, getting to play with colour and working with balancing the wording over a full scene illustration on the inside, and this is still one of the invitations when I attend wedding fairs that gets the biggest reaction.
I hope you found this week’s Live interesting and it gives you a bit more insight into how I create my designs and hopefully inspires you if you’re in the process of planning your stationery.
✨ Next Week ✨
I’ll be back at the same time with another Live talking about some of the different styles of invitations you may want to consider for your own design and some of the considerations for each - see you there

✨ Wedding Stationery Timeframes ✨ Insta Live
In today’s live I’m talking about wedding stationery timeframes and when you may want to look to send out your Save the Dates, Invitations and work on your Day Stationery items.
I wanted to talk about this as it’s one of the most common questions I get asked by the couples I work with. Each wedding as always is different and some couples will have a longer lead up till their big day then others but hopefully this can be a helpful guide for you.
A Rough Guide
✉️ Save the Dates
Roughly 12 months before the wedding or at the earliest opportunity if you have less than a year to go.
** If the wedding is abroad you may consider giving more notice for guests to make arrangements for flights/accommodation
✉️ Invitations
3 - 6 months of your wedding day
This depends on what information you need from them and when your venue/caterers need numbers confirmed.
✉️ On the day stationery items
4 - 6 weeks ahead of your wedding day.
You may want to leave a few details to the latest possible moment, such as the table plan, which is fine.
I would suggest having the designs ready a few weeks in advance and ordering no later than 10 working days prior to the wedding, but check with your stationer on how much lead time they suggest in each case.
I hope this video was useful and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to drop me a message and I’ll see you again for next week’s Live ☺️

The Outtakes 🎬
As a bank holiday treat, I thought I’d share with you the bloopers and outtakes that ended up on the cutting room floor from my recent filming session with @mdphotoandvideo
I can’t thank Murray enough for making the day so enjoyable and putting me at ease being on camera, as well as for the final videos and images he captured on the day for my business.
I would highly recommend working with him.
Enjoy! 🙃

✨ Wedding Wednesday Live No.4 ✨Ian & Lydia 🪶
On today’s Live, I’m talking about the wedding invitations and table plan I illustrated and designed for Ian & Lydia.
This was a special one for me as it was the first commission for an illustrated table plan I had, where they wanted a different illustration for each.
The theme throughout their stationery was birds, featuring feather illustrations and bird paper clips on the invite designs and for the table plan a different bird illustration for each, all drawn and painted using fine liner and watercolours, which were also used for the table name signs.
The table plan on the day was a frame with wire on the back so instead of having a flat single print, each table was printed individually and clipped into the frame.
I loved working on these designs and illustrations and am always thankful for Ian & Lydia asking me to create this illustrated table plan for them and route it set me on for creating these for more couples.
✨ Next Week ✨
For next week’s Live, I’m going to be talking about Timeframes and giving my top tips on when best to send out your Save the Date, Invitations and start working on your Day Stationery items.
✨ Instagram Live ✨ What wedding stationery do you ‘need’? 🖊️
For today's Live I’m talking about the stationery items I’m most often asked to create as part of each couple's suite.
Each wedding is different and I’m not saying that you must have these items but this chat is just to give you some ideas about what you may need and how you can make it personal to your special day.
Here is a guide to the most popular stationery items outlined in the video:
Before the Day:
~ Save the Dates
~ Wedding Invitations
On the Day:
~ Welcome Sign
~ Order of Service
~ Wedding Timeline
~ Seating Chart
~ Table Name Signs
~ Place Cards
~ Menus
After the Day:
~ Thank You Cards
During the video I also cover a few other items, such as Guest Book ideas and additional signage as well as some tips to make each item unique to your day and fit with your theme.
I hope you find it useful (and well done if you get to the end, it was a long one)
✨ Next Week ✨
I’ll be back at the same time to talk you through another one of the Wedding Stationery designs from my portfolio.

My First Wedding Stationery Commission 💕
For today’s Live, I’m going back to the very start and reflecting on the very first Wedding Stationery commission I took on for my dear friend Lydia.
It all started with a pen illustration of a pair of birds I drew for her as an engagement gift titled ‘Love Birds’ and from there she asked me to create her stationery.
For the design they wanted something traditional and would work with their colour scheme of green, peach and gold. The artwork was flowers, leaves and some birds, all drawn using fine liner and blocked out in flat colour that I could apply an overlay to in one of the three colours to bring the theme to life.
The final wedding stationery suite I created using these elements included:
- Save the Dates (postcard style)
- Wedding Invitations (folded)
- Order of Service
- Seating Plan
- Table Numbers
- Menus
- Love Quotes
- Order of the Day sign
I created the initial artwork and designs for these back in 2016, so it goes without saying that I’ve learnt so much since then over the years, with all the different couples I’ve worked with.
A massive thank you to Lydia for trusting me to create these for her and starting me off down this creative path 💚

✨ Lives - No.1 - Intro ✨
Hello and welcome to my very first instagram live.
I want to have a fun and informal way to share a bit more insight about my business with you, as well as what I’m working on and offer some advice to couple in the process of organising their wedding stationery.
I’m going live so I hopefully can’t over think it too much and I want them to have that authentic, natural feel that I love when taking part at an in-person wedding fair.
✨ How it’s going to work ✨
Each Wednesday I’ll jump on around 10:30 am for a quick, informal chat about what’s going on with my business, projects I’m working on and cover off the week’s topic.
The plan is to alternate weekly between talking you through different design from my portfolio and the next discussing different topics related to wedding stationery, talking you through some of the most common questions I get asked, and just sharing some helpful tips and ideas.
If you do have any questions that you’d like me to cover off in the coming weeks, please do let me know ✉️
✨ The Plan ✨
The plan is to give the Live’s ago for at least 12 weeks following this structure and see how it all goes.
The long term dream would be to start inviting other suppliers to talk about their businesses, why they love working in the wedding industry and to share their tips and experiences (you’ve gotta dream big, right?).
✨ Videos ✨
Don’t worry if you miss the Live, I will be reposting them to my reels sections so you can catch up on them when you like.
✨ Next week's Live ✨
I’m going back to the very beginning and talking you through my first wedding stationery commission from back in 2017.
See you there 🙃
