Whitwell Village Hall's AGM is this Monday, 4th March from 7pm.

Do you fancy being a part of the committee?

A small Committee of Trustees oversees the running of Whitwell Village Hall and meets for about an hour every six weeks to keep up to date with finance, maintenance etc.

Due to the march of time, this pool of volunteers is shrinking. We need some new, enthusiastic volunteers.

If you are interested, we are holding our AGM in the Whitwell Village Hall on Monday 4th March at 7pm.

It was great to see so many people in the Village Hall on Saturday morning (11th November) and the weather was kind for a change.

There were the usual stalls plus some selling Christmas items.

We raised £211 for the hall maintenance fund.

The Committee would like to thank everyone who came along, had a stall and those who helped in any way.

On Saturday 30th September at 7.30pm Whitwell Village Hall are holding the popular Pudding Quiz to raise funds for maintenance in our beautiful Village Hall.

Cost £6 to include the quiz and a homemade pudding. What a bargain!

Whitwell handcraft group!

Come meet new friends and learn new handicrafts or even bring your current projects.

This group is for beginners and advanced.

There will be:

Mosaic-making lessons
Crochet lessons
And a sewing machine for those who wish to use it while at the hall

Every Friday from 7pm-10:30pm £12 per mosaic and crochet lessons which covers
materials, tea/coffee and homemade cakes.

£5 for own project, tea/coffee homemade cakes

There will be an art and craft raffle every week.

NEARLY NEW FASHION SHOW

This year we are pleased to be able to hold another Nearly New Fashion Show in aid of Whitwell Church.
If you have any nearly new ladies' clothes you would like to donate, please call Sue 07901 547 552 to arrange drop off/collection before 17th July.

Our kind volunteers will model some of the clothes which will then be available to buy at a bargain price. Any remaining items will be donated to local charity shops.

Whitwell Village Hall AGM Monday 7th March 2022

The annual general meeting is being held on Monday at 7.00pm. This is the time to come along and air your views about the hall, also we need extra help on the committee to keep this hall functioning.

There will be a historical photographic display from the 70/80’s featuring the work by villagers to convert the school to it’s current use as the village hall.
