We always try our best to re-use all designs at your wedding and this chunky wooden arch was no exception. It was the backdrop to Amy and Lukeās ceremony and then the backdrop to their stunning cake set up.

Well, when I first started Elle Duke just over a year or so ago I wasnāt really sure of the direction I wanted to take my business but the more time that passes, I know that I want to focus on CREATIVITY; meeting couples who are eager to find a florist who really gets to know what makes them unique as people and how to best recreate that in flowers. Sometimes that will be quietly subtle and other times that will be wildly colourfulā¦ YOU choose!!

So I promised you the ābig buttonholeā and here it isā¦ yes, big florals for you to WEAR are defo on trend this year and I think it rocks! Iām biased of course! But the idea of wearing more flowers should never be out of style! Also notice the āDukeā stud by the wonderful adding the perfect way to personalise your wearable flowers.
They really are! I love music, sing all the time (to myself), lived in Music City - Nashville for years, surrounded by music, but it was there that I discovered my passion for flowers and havenāt looked back.
They move and sway in the breeze as though theyāre dancing, they can be edgy or soft, like heavy metal or love songs and yesā¦ they are my music.
Not all music is the same. I like different genres with polar opposite vibes and itās the same with flowers; just because I like pretty baby pink ranunculus doesnāt mean I donāt like dark Ti leaves and gloriosa Lillies - all in equal measure.

You saw the āElleā stud by the wonderful added to the bridal bouquet and now for the āDukeā stud attached to the buttonhole.. scroll to second pic. These are such a great way to personalise your wedding party flowers or āpeople flowersā as I call them!
This is our regular sized buttonhole (youāll see why I call it that in the next post š¤£) Also notice the tattoo detailing on the leaf and how this buttonhole could be slotted into a zipped jacket pocket for a different look.

Hi, Iām Robertaā¦ I wanted to take the time to share a little bit about myself and why me and my little business might be a good match for you.
Iāll start with the fact that Iām Ā“possiblyā (itās rumoured) a tad eccentric, or maybe just a little different; definitely Iām creative, excitable about what I do and GOOFY, certainly that, yes (see pic 2 š¤£), I CARE, possibly guilty of over caring, over worrying about getting the job done RIGHT but then, thatās great for you so you donāt have to think of anything floral on your big day! Iām thorough, Iām detail oriented and saying that after saying Iām a creative person probably sounds like a contradiction but itās who I am; a real mix of crazy creative, PASSIONATE and organised. Possibly an unusual mix but one that makes for a good florist! Modesty is always key ey?! š
Oh, Iāve heaps of experience tooā¦about 15 years!! Time flies.. whoosh!!
Flowers wise, there are no rights or wrongs for meā¦ sure, I love to mix things up a bit, push wedding boundaries, something alternative is certainly fun but me and my little crew (AKA, the Elle Duke Family) make each day unique to you and if you want something classical and chic, I love that tooā¦ But ultimately itās not about what I love, although yes, I WILL give you advice, itās about you and your dreams and a collaboration of ideas!
