The Luke Gee Quartet, 7.30, Thursday 21st of November.

Luke Gee is a well known singer and guitarist, performing around the Wigan and the North West area. His performances are well known for his Irish folk songs, and he is also well known as a guitarist in the popular band The Quaintest Show on Earth.

Last year we challenged Luke to perform a jazz night, as part of our regular Pocket Jazz series, and Luke put on an outstanding night of musical entertainment. Always seeking new challenges, this time Luke has teamed up with three members of another Wigan based band, Cooper & The Makerfields, to give us an exciting evening of jazz and improvisation.

The quartet will perform moody ballads inspired by artists such as Chat Baker and Billie Holiday, together with well-known jazz standards and a few unexpected surprises!

The Bailiff Bar is open from 5.30, serving cocktails, craft beers, tea & coffee, with the jazz at 7.30.
