Wowzers what a party!
Black tie, 6 course dinner party for a 60th birthday in Portinscale
21 guests certainly had a fun evening full of delicious food, drink, music & laughter
I had a lot to juggle (& cook!) but with the help of my two ladies serving, clearing & washing up the whole evening went brilliantly!
Menu
Canapes
Spiced chickpea cups with coriander yoghurt & mango chutney
Chicken satay sticks
Sweet chilli king prawns with basil & tomato
Vegetable spring rolls
Garlic mushroom & red onion marmalade cups

Jumbo chestnut & sage sesame sausage roll
chilli jam dip
Caramelised onion, rosemary & Camembert filo parcel
Roasted tomato, dill spinach tartine
Greek yoghurt, lemon, spring onions, toasted rye

Slow roasted port & balsamic leg of lamb
tomatoes, garlic, red wine sauce
Hake with roasted pepper sauce & charred salad onions
almonds, garlic, smoked paprika, sherry vinegar. Served with baby roasted potatoes
Chicken in white wine, caramelised onions, bacon & herbs
thyme, cloves, parsley, garlic, button mushrooms
All of the above are served with either steamed wild rice or potatoes (goose fat roasts, creamy mash, gratin dauphinoise or buttered herb baby new) and a selection of fresh vegetables.
