Just wanted to take a walk back on memory lane to this amazing carnival party for Elodie’s 6th birthday, with 100 guests. The day was absolutely fabulous with over 10 entertainers, carnival games and food, pony rides and animatronic elephant, fully stocked bar…all housed under a two-hat tipi and a stretch tent! Was the best day ever to see it all come together after 5 months of planning. A guest even said, it was the best party they ever went to! What an amazing weekend bringing Navy’s welcome to the world party to fruition. Everything went spectacularly well for the 100 guests party. We had bar staff, hot and fresh wood fire pizza, grazing nibbles and desserts table, bouncy castle, kids craft table, an incredible musician and all housed under a huge stretch tent with some brilliant lighting. And I planned this in just three weeks! 😊👍🏼 Thanks to all the suppliers involved.

So excited that I have three weddings booked this year that I am either planning, doing on-the-day coordination or decorating. I’m also super happy to announce that I can offer flowers (faux or fresh) as part of my events. I’ve collected beautiful vessels, such as, vintage bottles, jars and crockery.

Some fab R&R in Cape Verde (well as much as you can get when still touching base with clients - if you’re self employed, you know what I mean!) We’d never been and I’d heard good things. For example, that the beach was as good as the Caribbean - where we stayed in Santa Maria, the beach was amazing! Soft sand and crystal clear sea. Just fabulous! Really friendly people. We had some lovely food. And our apartment with a rooftop pool and beautiful views of all the way to the beach and sunset, was a real find. Don’t get me wrong, it is a developing country and our trip out in a Jeep saw some sights that make you grateful to live in the UK, but boy did we see some amazing sights. Blue Eye, pictured first was incredible, I could look at that sea all day. We paddled with baby lemon sharks and floated in salt pool saltier than the Dead Sea. And April was a great time to go - the weather was awful here and apart from a few windy days at the start of the week, the temperature was perfect there. Just take a jacket / shawl in case it’s windy at night. We swam in the pool / sea everyday. If you aren’t too hung up on your holidays being 5star luxury (there are those options but the apartments are so cheap and some with sea views) and want what I would describe, probably the best beach I’ve ever been on (and I’ve been to Oz, Fiji and Thailand), then I’d really recommend Cape Verde 🇨🇻.
Plus, good tip…TUI flies direct and for a 6 hour flight, the cost was very reasonable

How gorgeous were all these colours for GraceFest yesterday - a have fun, festival themed party for Grace who’s turning 6! Happy birthday, Grace! The mum had booked most of the suppliers herself and asked me to be in charge of the decor, lighting and tableware. It all came together really well and I just love the combination of the festoon lighting, disco balls and lights with the pretty mix of colours. Thanks to my great team who helped me with this.

What an absolutely amazing party weekend on London for my birthday! Couldn’t have asked for a better time with my lovely friends. Completely jam-packed (I’m a party planner so yes, there was an itinerary!) We went from beautiful bars in Soho to gorge restaurants, with a few stops at a karaoke booth and THE Magic Mike show at the casino (just Jen and I enjoyed that one 😉 - the others went to the pub!) The next day, Kev and I enjoyed a walk by the palace and St James’ Park and then saw Wicked! Really came home buzzing. Thank you to all my friends for coming 🥰😘

A bit of back stage action for the naming ceremony from last week. The client wanted to plan the party and asked me to do on the day coordination with my team so she could just relax and enjoy the day. We were there early to set up, stayed during the party to oversee the smooth running of the event and the suppliers, washed up, helped the caterers, cleaned up…the list goes on but it meant the clients could be present at their party and not running round after their guests. I also booked a fabulous face painter and took care of some quiet games to entertain the children. The guess the name of the cuddly toys and guess the sweets in the jar went down very well! What a great day working for one of my favourite clients at @renewmedclinic. Kelly and Justin (clients I also created the Halloween party for) invited me to decorate their lovely clinic for Christmas.
