Husband and Wife, Owner and Co-Owner, 24/7 sounding boards, it’s hard to remember to switch off, stop working, connect. In the culture where ‘busy’ is seen as a status symbol, it’s so hard to carve out time for self care, family time, rest, relaxation and connection but if you own your own business and DON’T do that..(and don’t get me wrong we know it’s crazy hard to find the time to sometimes) then all you’ve done is given yourself a job, not a business.
I can’t tell you how many times people have said to us, “I could never go into business with my spouse!” and whilst of course it’s not always plain sailing, in a lot of ways the fact that we compliment each other in marriage, makes it easier than it would be going into business with a friend or stranger! After all, isn’t that what marriage is about? Complimenting each other, two halves of a whole, yin and yang! ☯️ We both have very different skill sets and have clear defined roles in the business which play to these strengths. There is no way either one of us could have got to where we are today on our own. It’s truly a joint effort and whilst of course we argue or disagree sometimes about the most bizarre things, on the whole, we both share a vision and passion which drives us forward together. 👩❤️👨
We created the freedom to take a working lunch together rather than a Friday night date night, the choice to attend a yoga session on a Thursday morning if we fancy or work late into the night in our PJs together hashing out plans for the future. It’s most definitely not for everyone but it works for us and that’s what matters ✨
Any good partnership is all about team work and no team is more important than when it comes to raising little ones! We know it takes a team to organise parties, decorate those halls, send invites, pack party bags, arrange the food and cake and we know how much work goes into it from both your side and ours. All to make those moments th

At the circus 🎪 they walk the tightrope but there is no greater balancing act than building your own business whilst raising little kids🧒
Our first born was just 6 months old when BunnyBusiness started (no maternity leave for Mummy!) Not whilst you run your own business and especially not during a global pandemic! 😷
Having built my previous business up for over a decade, 3 full time employees and 12 subcontractors, I aimed to be able to take a maternity leave whilst the business carried on briefly without me. Covid had other plans. It was just at that moment that the idea to don, our now infamous Easter Bunny, and entertain hundreds of children over a lockdown Easter weekend, began.💡
We never dreamt at the time that this moment would change everything and spark a whole new direction for both Mike and I. We never intend to start a new business but the universe often has a plan. 🪐 Both our working lives changed indefinitely from that moment…. BunnyBusiness was born✨
So whether we’re changing a booking or changing nappies, as all parents know, it’s just part of the balancing act 🎪
