This time last week, the CAPE team was onsite at the London Aquatics Centre community open day.

It was a great event with taster sessions in water polo, scuba diving, and more, and a chance to see their spangly new exercise and spin studios.

🏨 THE BNC SHOW 🌴

A regular fixture on the events industry calendar, the BNC Show is a hugely popular show tailored especially for hospitality and event suppliers and buyers.

💁🏻‍♀️ "BNC most recently connected me with the Belmond Group, who ended up taking me on a beautiful FAM trip to Madeira last year. I won’t necessarily go every year, but I’d registered knowing I would be in London after back-to-back events, and might need a little inspiration for the coming months.

I like it because it’s a fairly small show but a good mix of suppliers, and they always have a choice of nice gifts when you register. Yes, I’m pretty easily swayed but it does have to be good quality and something I’ll use. I went with the Stoneglow Clarity Candle to instil some ‘cape calm’ after a busy day of networking!

I made the most of catching up with former colleagues, connecting with venue contacts old and new, and some free content sessions for my own professional development."

🌴 A HARD ROCK LIFE IN TENERIFE 🌍️

If you're in the events and hospitality industry, you know that attending FAM trips could be a full-time job!

🌤️ They are a fabulous way to connect with businesses and peers in a more intimate setting, compared say to the big trade shows (though they also have their merits).

But they can also be just as tiring. Lots of travelling, networking, 1-1 meetings, show rounds and cultural excursions, usually wrapped into about 30 hours across 3 days.

✈️ That being said... an all-expenses-paid trip with a bit of sun, sea and sand is nothing to be sniffed at!

In February, we attended two incredible events at The Hard Rock Hotel in Tenerife - first the Break The Ice M.I.C.E Forum, followed by a FAM trip. Both events had us exploring the beautiful island whilst engaging with like-minded individuals, networking, and making some great relationships.
