Pinch Punch ... 1st Day of the month ... or Happy Fête du Muguet if you are in France. Either way it has to be Convallaria Majalis aka Lily of the Valley, not just the most expensive flower in the world (probably!!) but traditionally THE flower of May and all started by King Charles IX of France way back in 1561**. Tech hasn't got to the point we can send you all a bunch, but we can wish all our followers good luck, prosperity and oodles of happiness!

** History says that KIng Charles** received a bunch on May 1st and was told it would bring him good luck and prosperity over the coming year. Touched by the story he decided to present a bouquet of Lily of the Valley to every lady in his court and it’s a tradition that has carried on in France ever since. In flowerology terms Lily of the Valley also stands for absolute purity, youth, sincerity, and discretion but most of all happiness! Sounds good to us!

** Wonder if the new King Charles of UK will have any LOV anywhere at his Coronation next week? We suspect there will be a nod to his dear Mama's favourite.

It’s been very much a preparation day today, preparing the flowers and giving them a lovely feed and drink so that they look ltheir best for Sunday. Lot’s of bow making too!
