Extra things to consider bringing:

* Camping Chairs
* Swimming Costume
* Trainers (Garden games and Zumba)
* Towels (for swimming and camping guests)
* Warm clothes/blankets for campers.
* Coals if you want to use the fire pit although we are providing wood.
* Money for ice cream, any drinks at the bar, pizza man Friday and food on Sunday.

There are hairdryers and shower gel/hand gel in the communal toilets/shower area; so if you forget yours, don’t worry!

Just putting a little reminder about cars.
There isn’t a lot of space to park, so ideally bringing one car would be appreciated.

Bringing two for unloading only is perfectly fine. If I had four cars, I would bring them all- that’s how much stuff we have 😂😂

Sunday is our more chilled day, but we do have the best magician in Dorset giving us a special magic walkabout. His magic will leave you speechless. Brilliant walabout for everyone!

Guide to food at Rivendell:

Friday from 5.30pm

We have a pizza van here. I’m not sure on the final menu, but he has a nice little range - for vegetarians too.

Saturday Breakfast:

Egg/bacon/sausage baps- (1,2 or all 3)
Toast with jam and marmalade
Pastry selection
Selection of cereals
Fruit

TIP: Please pack snacks/lunch for yourselves as we aren’t having the hog roast until 4pm.

Saturday early evening:

Hog Roast buffet at 4pm
Wedding cake

Sunday Breakfast:

Selection of cereals
Toast with jam or marmalade
Pastries
Fruit

The only thing food wise to worry about it snacks/ alternative food if food not suitable.
Bring your own alcohol and juice if required!

The only money you will need, will be for the pizza man on Friday, ice cream is available on site too and any more drinks bought from the bar. Everything else is on us!

We have the pleasure of having ‘Squidge and Pop’ at the site. She will be performing a bubble show to entertain the kids whilst the speeches are being done. The kids will go crazy for this. 🫧🫧🫧🫧

To guide us into the evening of celebrating our Saturday night, we have circus workshops at 6.30pm, followed by a fire show performed by Jasmine Edward’s, when the sun goes down.

Super excited for her to be part of our celebration! 🔥🔥🔥

My awesome colleague, Holly, will be taking a yoga class Saturday morning 9-9.30am and Sunday 9.30- 10am. What a perfect way to start the day ❤️🧘‍♀️

Saturday entertainment kicks off, after our blessing, with Marky Jay and Loz Because (yes they are married). I cannot wait to have a good laugh watching this. Only 30 days to go………..

Friday continues with our ‘Sunset session’ starting with circus workshops from 6.30pm with ‘Super Simon’ AKA the groom. He will then end with his fireshow 🔥🔥 - don’t worry, he is a professional……….. plumber!

Friday guests will be in for a treat…….

Our first street show will take place at around 5pm and will be from ‘Dan The Hat’ 🎩 🍍🎩

But don’t be fooled, he is not just entertaining for the kids, he will have adults howling too!

So excited to have him on board!

Just putting the feelers out there for Friday evening food!

We are hopefully getting a pizza van, but we need to know rough numbers of how many people would like to order from him as he needs to know how many people to cater for.

Can you comment a yes if you are interested and how many in your family (if you are buying for any kids too).

I’m not overly sure on prices per pizza but probably £10-£12 on average I would say.

Hello everyone 👋

We have had a few questions about ‘what to wear’ for the weekend.

The words or Simon would be to “dress up, dress down or don’t dress at all” 😂

But really, you can wear whatever you like all weekend. We’re not expecting posh frocks or suits, wear what is comfortable for you, just don’t over dress incase the sun is shining and it’s hot! 🥵

All I would say, is bring flat shoes/sandals, trainers, even wellies in case and let’s festival it up!

A few have already started shopping for festival wear, not mentioning any names……… Uncle Kev 😂

Hello 👋 I appreciate that the majority of you have no idea about where you are staying to judge how long you want to stay for.

The majority will be camping. We do have some lodges and bell tents available, but most will be allocated for family, once we have final numbers of guests wanting to stay overnight for 2-3 nights. We also may be able to rent some more bell tents from an external company, once we have numbers.

We appreciate camping may not be for everyone, so please feel free to come and go as you please for the days/evenings.

Hello fellow weekenders ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️

Myself and Simon are very excited to have you all with us at Rivendell Park, to celebrate our marriage and in such beautiful surroundings. A whole weekend with our loved ones will be so special for us both.

So, we have created a page to cover all the basics of ‘what to expect’, what do I bring’ and ‘when/what is available to eat’……

Do not worry- we have you covered.

ACCOMMODATION:

Most of our family/wedding party, will have onsite accommodation. Friends that would like to stay, standard and electric camping pitches will be available. All tent pitches are paid for by us, however, if you require a tent and you can’t access one, you can hire a 5m bell tent for an extra cost (tbc). Lovely showers/toilets will be available on site. ⛺️⛺️⛺️

FACILITIES:

There is a heated pool (slightly heated) that will be open every day. The hot tub is open from 10am - 7pm, it’s super hot, so not ideal for small kids. We also have a sauna that will available, Saturday morning and Sunday morning, this is only for adults. 🥵

FRIDAY

* Check in, is from 12pm, Check out on Monday is 10am.

* Trollies are available at the entrance to help you shift your belongings to your accommodation/tent space.

* Check in via the reception hut straight in front of you (please see video).

* Food for the evening- pizza’s are available to purchase via a pizza truck, providing we have enough people staying/ordering (tbc). You also have the option to cater for yourself, if pizza’s aren’t your cup of tea. There are lots of fire pits/BBQ’s, pizza ovens and a couple of fridges you can use.

Alcohol is available from the bar or you can bring your own. Fire wood can be purchased on site from reception, if you want a bbq at any time. Charcoal will need to be purchased off site.

SATURDAY:

* Breakfast will be provided by us. This will include a choice of:

* Toast ( with conserves)
* Cereals
* Breakfast bap (sausage, egg, bacon)
* A selection of pastries

Vegan/veggie options available. Alternative milk available too.

* Mid morning, cakes will be available in the conservatory.

* After the ceremony (mid to late afternoon) we will be providing a ‘Hog Roast’ style buffet with separate children’s options. Also Vegan/veggie options available.

SUNDAY:

Breakfast includes:

* Toast (with conserves)
* Cereal
* A selection of pastries

Alternative milk available

Sunday is a lovely chilled day. You can use the bbq pits, pizza ovens or you can order a takeaway from ‘just eat’ and wind down in the hot tub 💦

Pizzas will be provided by us, for the children this evening. 🍕

All Information on entertainment will be provided very soon.

Please do not feel like you have to stay, you can simply come and go as you please.
