Today would have been Jen’s 42nd birthday.
The world unexpectedly lost a beautiful soul in April this year - leaving behind her husband, Chris, and their two children - Lily & Dan.
Since then, life has taken on a new shape for lots of people - whether in support of her family or reeling in her absence as a friend and parent.
I don’t know about you, but when people pass away, I can still hear their laugh more than anything. Maybe because that is the sound of their happiness. I can still hear Jen laugh, vividly.
For those who didn’t know Jen - she was a force of kindness to be reckoned with. Someone who would fight for the underdog, who supported those she loved in the hope they would be kinder to themselves, who upheld her morals and encouraged those around her to lead with their best foot. To do what is inherently right. She was one of life’s good eggs.
It’s been hard to helplessly watch this incredible family learn to navigate the world without her - but they have shone in the darkest moments. They have achieved things they don’t even realise.
My love to them and Jen’s extended family.
