📢 New exhibition announcement!

With the snowdrops of spring soon upon us, what better time to announce our exhibition - Beauty of the Earth: The Art of May, Jane and William Morris - coming to The Arc, Wi******er in November 2025.

This exhibition, specially curated for Hampshire Cultural Trust by - specialist in 19th & 20th-century art and design - will bring the elegance of Blanzifiore, better known as snowdrops, alongside much, much more to The Gallery!

From embroidery and wallpaper to decorated books and oil paintings, the exhibition gathers works from the earliest days of Jane and William’s marriage. It will also feature works by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones and John Ruskin, as well as designs by May Morris, on public display for the first time. Together, these will show how the visionary art of the Morris family can still encourage us to ‘love the narrow spot that surrounds our daily life’.

The exhibition is drawn from a small number of institutions: Kelmscott Manor/Society of Antiquaries, the William Morris Society, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford.

'Beauty of the Earth: The Art of May, Jane and William Morris' will run from Saturday 15 November 2025 to Wednesday 4 February 2026 at The Arc, Wi******er.

Tickets are now available online by phone on 01962 398046, in person at The Arc or online here: https://buff.ly/3EwQ4Lh

If you like indie-folk you'll love this!

The Ocelots are twin brothers Ashley & Brandon Watson from Wexford, Ireland. Rich in spellbinding and retro-sounding harmonies, the brothers present a definitive glimpse of their indie-rock influence, bringing the sonic shapes of The Shins and early Kings of Leon into centre focus.
