A great evening of music was had on FRIDAY 8th NOVEMBER 2024, celebrating the 10th ANNIVERSARY of The St James Tavern Blues Jam in Wi******er, with an extravaganza of music, consisting of many bands and artists who have played there over the years and all in aid of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance service, which thanks to everyone raised in total £1,197.35. Also a special wall plaque was made and presented to Alistair Hamilton (pic 11/12), as a thank you for starting The Blues Jam 10 years ago. 1

So, eventually the counting has been done and the amount raised for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was £1197.35.

This was made up from your donations on the night which was £220 on the card machine, an incredible £477.35 in the buckets, a donation from the St James Tavern and some corporate charity matching from Arqiva.

It was a great night, the music was fantastic and the vibe was one of celebration and generosity.

Thankyou to all who performed, listened, donated, drank and were there, as well as those who couldnt make it yet donated all the same. You are all amazing beautiful people!!

The next Blues Jam will be Spring 2025. I know it's early but have a great Xmas and holidays, enjoy what remains of 2024 and will hopefully see everyone at the next one.

Wow, what a night!! More Reverb you could ever want or need. Thankyou so much to everybody for your support. I will post the exact number of cash raised however we know just from the raffle tickets sold that £370 was raised from thar alone. There were other donations, a percentage of the nights takings from the Glorious Saint James Tavern, and theres some corporate charity matching to come also, so watch this space for final figure.

It was great to see something from all the bands that play together, maybe we will more of this in the future.

Thankyou to the jammers, who turned up and were pounced upon to step up and give it some without knowing what or who they were playing with which is the true nature of the jam.

Will again soon, thankyou all again, you are all beautiful people!!

Playing sixties raw folk rock & blues, to get your blood pumping, your feet dancing, and your tail feather shaking, for a great evening’s entertainment. The St James Tavern Blues Jam is back THIS SUNDAY 28TH JULY from 4-7pm at St James Tavern, 3 Romsey Road, Wi******er SO22 5BE, in aid of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance service. Bring your family and friends and your musical instrument of choice. Full back line, PA, and drum kit provided. £5.00 donation going towards the nominated charity to play. Great pub, beer, food, and atmosphere. So come and join in the fun and make some noise. Drummers are always needed, so please bring your sticks.

I just wanted to say, on behalf of all of us at Friends of the Family, a huge thank you for supporting Friends of the Family at last weekend's Blues Jam. I know that Sam and her family really enjoyed the event and we are so grateful for the opportunity to introduce our charity to your audience, and also to raise some much needed donations along the way.

I know the amount raised was in the region of £350.00, which is fantastic and will help us to continue our work supporting families and children in the Wi******er district.
