To help you reduce your food waste, keep an organised fridge and an eye on those use-by dates; especially the meat, dairy and other fresh produce.
Don't forget, if you can't eat it in time, check to see if you can freeze it. If you can, keep a record of the dates you froze any goods in a book, or label the food; this help with freezer rotation.

Here's why having parsnips on your roast this month is more than just a 'tradition'. No matter how you love to serve them, this root veg is high in folic acid which contributes towards mental alertness and reduces tiredness.
So, if the kids have you up early over the next week, eating these should help you stay awake! More info about parsnips can be found courtesy of our friends at VegPowerUK https://bit.ly/3NBpN03

Did you know that each time you open the oven door, the temperature inside the oven can drop by as much as 120 degrees Celsius? So this if you need to check on the cooking progress of the food inside, try to resist the urge to open the door, and use the oven’s lamps or use timers.

Food to Flourish with Great Taste

We're a dedicated team who prepare and serve 1000’s of school children and young adults, fresh, healthy and nutritious “food to flourish” with great “taste” day after day. We buy locally sourced food wherever possible from suppliers and growers who care about the environment and their livestock. We continuously strive to improve our quality and delivery to support our education clients and work in partnership with them to deliver messages about healthy eating. We are proud of what we do and go the extra (food) mile to enjoy seeing the children grow.
