The Bizarrist is now booked for this Saturday night but I still have availability for Sunday.
Halloween is such a fun time of the year for children but also a great time to get friends together and
spend time doing something ‘out of the ordinary’
My new act The Bizarrist is perfect for Halloween events but it is also brilliant for other times of the year when you are looking for something completely different to your typical entertainment. The Bizarrist takes your guest on a journey through storytelling and spine-chilling experiences.
The environment will be theatrically set and your guests will enter into a space lit only by candles and the smell of incense and their imagination will be captivated by tales of witchcraft and warlocks.
This is ideal for both Private parties but also corporate events and can be set up in a corner of a large
room or in a separate room that guests can book into.
Don’t just wait for Halloween contact me today to find out more about how the Bizarrist can really
make your party one everyone remembers.
How are you planning to celebrate Halloween this year?
Halloween falls on a Monday this year, which means most Halloween parties will be planned for the weekend before.
Halloween is thought to have originated during the Celtic festival of Samhain.
Samhain was an ancient Celtic festival which celebrated the end of harvest on the 31st of October and the 1st of November, it was thought to help to usher in the dark half of the year and bonfires were lit and costumes were worn to ward off ghosts and evil spirits. It was a time when the ancient Celts believed the boundary between the world of the living and the dead became blurred. It was a time when the spirits could wreak havoc and the druids or Celtic priests would read fortunes and make predictions for the coming year.
By the turn of the 9th century, Christianity’s influence had started to impact and All Souls Day was designated on November 1st and took on many of the ancient rituals. The name began to incorporate the All-Hallows from Middle English and so was the beginning of Halloween.
Will you have a candlelit pumpkin on your doorstep?
The origins of the pumpkin go back centuries, but it didn’t arrive in the UK until the 16th century, prior to carving the pumpkin, the Vikings and ancient Celts used a Turnip, which was carved with strange faces to help ward off evil spirits.
There are some incredible carvings produced every year and the UK has a champion carver Dave Finkle who has managed to get into the Guinness Book of records.
As you begin to plan your Halloween party, maybe some of the carvings created by Dave might be too challenging but will give you great inspiration.
Other Halloween Party ideas include:
Pumpkin golf: Hollow out your pumpkin for indoor putting practice
Pumpkin bowling, get out into the garden and fill up some old plastic bottles with water and use the smaller pumpkins to bowl with.
Why not book entertainment for your guests?

🎄Are you planning your Christmas party yet and will it be in person or virtually?
I am sure the majority of Christmas get togethers will be in person, but for some companies, global travel is still not being considered and therefore a Christmas get together will have to remain online.
The COP26 Climate conference is making all businesses think harder about their carbon footprint and business travel will be an element of the debate for many CEO’s this year.
Last year I transitioned my Mindreading business onto a virtual platform and enjoyed meeting hundreds of party goers over Zoom and Teams.
I am still getting enquiries for Virtual performances, so if you are in the planning stage for this year’s Christmas party, give me a call.
