Merry Christmas & Happy New Year//

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my Bride & Grooms past, present, and future for choosing me to capture their beautiful wedding.
Looking back on this year's weddings and venues, I've been lucky enough to visit some of the most beautiful places such as the Lake District, Cheshire and further afield. I've been back again to several venues to shoot weddings and I was even given the opportunity to capture the most beautiful wedding in a jungle in Mexico this year which was such a great adventure and very surreal.
Next year, I'm back at more beautiful venues and returning to some of my favourites, which I'm so excited about.
I have one more wedding to capture, which is tomorrow (Christmas Eve). Then I'm going to have a few days off for a well-earned break.

I've also met and worked with some of the most amazing suppliers that help your day run as smooth as possible and I hope to work with you all again soon.

Take me back to Mexico 🇲🇽 //

Alec and Michelle's wedding at Wild Tulum was a stunning blend of natural beauty, bohemian charm, and intimate celebration. Nestled in the lush jungle and near the turquoise waters of Tulum, the venue offered an unforgettable backdrop. Here's a glimpse of their day:

The Setting

Wild Tulum, known for its rustic yet elegant vibe, was decorated with earthy tones, tropical greenery, and touches of pampas grass. Fairy lights and candles illuminated the evening, creating a magical, romantic atmosphere. The open-air space allowed guests to feel immersed in the natural surroundings.

The Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows under a minimalist arch adorned with tropical flowers and macramé details. The ceremony was heartfelt, with the jungle's sounds blending seamlessly with soft acoustic music. Alec and Michelle's personal vows brought tears and laughter to their family and friends.

The Reception

The reception took place under a canopy of twinkling lights and stars. Long wooden tables were dressed with natural linens, delicate florals, and elegant place settings. The menu featured locally inspired dishes with a gourmet twist, showcasing fresh seafood, vibrant salsas, and artisanal cocktails infused with mezcal.

The Entertainment

A local DJ who kept the dance floor alive late into the night. Guests also enjoyed drinks and signature cocktails.

The Couple's Style

Michelle stunned in a flowing lace gown with bohemian details, Alec looked sharp in a light linen suit, perfect for the tropical climate. Their style harmonized beautifully with the venue's aesthetic.

Rookery Hall is such a beautiful venue, set in the heart of Cheshire, the Georgian Manor is vast with beautiful landscaped gardens.

It was a crisp foggy day at the Plough Inn at Eaton for Emma & Martyn's beautiful wedding day.

The Plough Inn at Eaton, is a cozy countryside venue nestled in the heart of Cheshire. The rustic oak-beamed barn was adorned with twinkling fairy lights and autumnal florals, creating a warm and intimate ambiance.

They married in front of their friends and loved ones before spending some time with them for lots of pictures.

It was such a lovely wedding, and I got to work with some amazing suppliers, some new and some I've had the pleasure of working with before.

I’m Gareth, the heart and camera behind Gareth Roy Photography. After such a busy year, I thought I'd say hi and share my passion for capturing life’s most precious moments – especially the magic of wedding days!

Aby and Sam's twilight forest elopement was nothing short of magical. As the sun dipped behind the trees, casting golden and deep amber hues across the forest, the two stood together in an intimate, secluded clearing. Tall, majestic trees surrounded them, their trunks wrapped in soft, twinkling fairy lights that created a cosy glow in the deepening dusk. Candles lined a rustic wooden path leading to the spot where they would exchange vows.

Aby wore a flowing, ethereal gown that caught the last light. Sam looked timeless in a classic suit, and had a wildflower boutonnière pinned to his lapel.

Their ceremony concluded under the emerging stars, with the moon casting a silvery glow on their faces as we walked through the fore. It was a timeless, romantic escape that perfectly reflected their love — private, profound, and bathed in twilight’s ethereal charm.

What a beautiful day it was on Saturday for Rachael & Simon. They married at the stunning Tyn Dwr Hall in Llangollen, surrounded by all their loved ones.

The landscape surrounding Tyn Dwr Hall is breathtaking, with the welsh hills as far as the eye could see.

I had such a great weekend back in the Lakes last week. My first stop was in the beautiful town of Keswick where we met before heading off on Torin & Sidney's engagement shoot at Ashness Bridge before heading to their wedding venue to check it out.

After the shoot, I went to check in to my hotel in Windermere before heading out and finding a really quirky pub where I met locals & visitors while I was sat at the bar, which I stayed till last orders.

Saturday soon came along for Torin & Sidney at the beautiful Cragwood House Country Estate and the sun was shining (After they buried sausages the night before).
They had an outdoor ceremony and we had an evening cruise on Windermere before dancing the night away.

Friday, saw me back in the beautiful Lake District. This time, it was for Torin & Sidney's engagement shoot.

They flew 10,526 miles all the way from Melbourne Australia to the Lakes, UK, to marry.

We went to Ashness Bridge just outside the historic town of Keswick, before we went to their venue Cragwood Country House Hotel to find some good spots for their wedding pictures the day after.

It was lovely to finally meet you guys...
