Cutting flowers this morning in the late summer sun is an absolute joy.

Really happy with the flower combinations this week. Delphiniums are still popping. We've had the first lily of the season. Sweet peas looking fantastic with scabious seedheads and fennel foliage.

Sometimes we all need a bit of a challenge... Jojo threw this enormous allium head at me today... "See what you can do...!"
It made the most fantastic starting shape for an arrangement that included Clary Sage, wild carrot, sweet Williams and Nigella...

At last the flowers are popping !
We’re joining pingle products starting this afternoon 4-6 pm at The Red Lion to sell our bouquets. As from next week you can preorder with your Pingle products or via Facebook.

Definitely a day that needs brightening with some flowers. Though they are starting to come though in the poly tunnels, we don't have enough to take orders yet. In the meantime here are some we gathered from the garden earlier this year.

It's looking wonderfully verdant- but with that cold weather in April, all our flower buds are staying tightly shut and Heather is the brightest flower in the tunnel.
That's giving us time to investigate a new ordering system for this year's weekly bunches. Details coming soon.

We grow our seedlings on in our polytunnels. Everything is grown on organic principles.

Happy Mother's Day from us up at Ashleyhay. Our seedlings are really starting to grow now. We're looking forward to putting together our first bunches of the year in April. Meanwhile, here's some colour from last year.
