Brilliant work from the team at .jupphorticulturalcontractors who sweated through almost four days to do three miles of hedge trimming (counting both sides of the box hedges!) as well as numerous lollipops and other shapes around the gardens. Hard enough but when you add in a heat wave, those guys deserve medals! Could we please have some rain now to get everything green again?

Back for more. Doris (now renamed Donald after our neighbour politely pointed out we’d misgendered him), has come back to have another supper of pansies. It’s hard to be cross when he’s such a beautiful creature and so tame. At least if he’s feasting in our garden he’s safe from the roads round here.

Rob is ready for Summer! He’s wearing Alexander McQueen paired with Abercrombie & Fitch vintage. And he’s holding a Union Flag 🇬🇧 in celebration of the sunny weather. He’s delighted to share the phone box with about 100 spiders 🕷️ ☎️

Coming back from the evening dog walk, look who’s having an early supper! We’ve called it Doris. We often have muntjacs in the garden but this one was so tame, and didn’t care that the dog was a few feet away. Doris just carried on munching before moving to the terrace for the next course 😂 If our gardener find out we will all be toast! So please keep the secret.

Welcome to Spring! And another frost 🥶
It’s cold but the sight of the Tête à Têtes, snowdrops and primula is enough to make the heart leap. Whatever else is going on in the world, at least we have joy to be found in nature.

An atmospheric start to the day. The pic doesn’t do justice to how beautiful it was. In my defence, it was early, the dog dragged me out of bed and I didn’t have my glasses on.

Welle Manor Hall - venue, location, historic house.

Tracing its origins to 1368 this former monastic building is now a private residence that is available to hire for private bookings, location filming and photography. With extensive grounds, outbuildings, plentiful off-street parking and an array of rooms that reflect the evolution of this manor house over the centuries, this beautiful home offers many opportunities for private events, filming or photography shoots.

Welle Manor Hall has been tastefully restored over the years and offers modern comfort within its historic walls. The four main reception rooms each offer a different ambience, the Dining Room seats 16 guests. Many of the rooms are named after the ingredients of the famous Norfolk Punch that is thought to have been created by the monks who once called this place their home.

Two Medieval towers remain in the grounds, a reminder of a time when the monastery was fortified against intruders. Set against the backdrop of the impressive St Peter’s Church, this is just one of the many magnificent opportunities for photography and filming in every part of the grounds.
