Absolutely buzzing Monday night seen the @twia_official regional finals come to Scotland for the first time and what a night it was!!!To have been named as one of the finalists in the cake designer category is, as I always say, a win in itself. These prestigious awards are client only nominated so to have reached the final really is everything that I dreamed off.The cake category was full of incredibly talented people, many of them my closest Industry friends. The ones I turn to when things don’t quite to plan, who listen to me moan, who are always there to support me. So I was completely blown away to be awarded with a Regional Highly Commended award on the night, after being judged by my fellow industry professionals.For those who know me will tell you how much of a champion I am for everyone and that I don’t see any cake maker as my competition. I honestly never expected to go on and win any award on the night. Just to be in that room as I’ve said before really is the biggest win. To know that your couples have loved the service; journey of working with you and of course their cake, is the absolute dream and will always be my main focus.I am truly honoured to have been awarded a Regional Highly Commended award by the @twia_official judging panels. Thank you so much. I really am feeling very grateful 💕💕💕

2023….. where do I even start…..Firstly. A huge thank you to all of my amazing couples who chose me this year as their wedding cake maker. I have honestly had the best time working with each and everyone of you. Thank you for asking me a play such an important role in your wedding, for all of your amazing testimonials and for every cake cutting picture that’s been sent over. I honestly love seeing you with your cakes and have the best memories of our time together.Awards and acolades - never in my wildest dreams did I expect to receive any industry awards. I do my job because I love it; because of the passion I have for what I do and for getting to work with so many amazing people. So I was completely blown away to receive not one, not two but THREE industry awards this year- Scottish Wedding Awards 2023 Regional Winner South East - Prestige Awards 2023/24 Cake Company of the Year- @yourscottishweddingawards 2023 Caker Maker I’ve also been featured in @tietheknotscotland and @yourscottishwedding magazines this year tooChange - at the start of this year I knew I wanted to change the cake style I made. I reached out to my good friend Kate @thecakebusinessclub who has been helping me achieve my vision and this change will continue to shine through in my 2024 portfolio. Friends - I’m so grateful to know so many talented wedding industry experts. We are such great friends always there to support each other, provide guidance and help. I can’t wait for us to out the world to right again in 2024So 2024…… there no pressure then !What is guaranteed is that I will always go above and beyond for those who work with me. THAT GIRL SINCE 93………..I don’t normally showcase any celebration cakes on my grid as I’m so busy with weddings but this cake was for a very special lady celebrating her 30th this weekend.I’ve worked alongside Jordan for a couple of years now and she’s recommended me to many of her couples who are getting married, so I was really delighted when she asked if I could make her this huge Biscoff filled heart cake for her special birthday.We kept everything in classic whites, taupes and gold tones to tie in with the venue decor and finished with some black acrylic lettering from @burntisland_occasions. Happy 30th birthday Jordan, thank you so much for asking me to make your cake 🥂❤️🥂

Let me tell you. …….My heart bursts with pride every time I see one of my gorgeous couples when they send a cake cutting photo !!! It’s a big responsibility agreeing to make someone’s cake for their big day. It takes a lot of time, planning, baking and decorating. Delivering and setting up at the venue too !!! When you walk away from the venue you always hope that your couple will love what you have agreed to make them. That every last detail is what they wanted. I was truly honoured to have received some pictures from Gemma and Jake and I thank them so much for allowing me to share it with you all. Number one…it has to be this….. how incredible do they look !!! And number two …… the smiles they have on their face when they are cutting their cake . The one that I made for them. I am so so delighted that they loved it just as much as I loved making it for them. Because it’s not just a cake, it a labour of love for us cakers and it’s a forever memory for our couples ❤️❤️❤️

OH WHAT A NIGHT……AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH…….. YES…… YES……. YES…….. I am totally buzzing and most definitely on cloud 9 today after winning the cake designer award at last nights @yourscottishweddingawards.A HUGE thank you to all of my amazing clients who took the time to vote for me. The judges commented on how “their wedding couple’s absolutely love them” and let me tell you that I absolutely love you all too. I work tirelessly for each and everyone who chooses to work with me. I will do anything I can to make your wedding cake journey the best experience that you will have. I’m here to help you, support and guide you and really make everything as stress free as I can so it honestly made me so happy to hear that feedback ❤️❤️❤️To all my amazing cake buds that were there last night, thank you for all of your support and congratulations. I’ve been busy this week making my cake tasting boxes and have gave them a glo up. It was the best day @dalmahoyhotel today for their annual wedding showcase. Not one tablet cake sample was left, I was completely cleared out! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped to chat, It was really lovely to hear all of your wedding plans. I can’t wait for next weekend where I get to do it all again at two different shows ❤️

LIAM AND LORRAINE// @marhall provided the stunning backdrop for Liam and Lorraine who were married last Saturday with the sun shining down on them. They chose this beautiful cake design which complimented their white and Gold theme. A taller than average Metallic gold tier along with gold acrylic initials to complement their stationary made this a real statement cake. To finish everything off, one of my statement cake stands was used….. a further post will show how it all come together 😍

THE FLEMINGS//It was so lovely getting to catch up with Nicole and Martyn today and hear all about their beautiful wedding last Saturday. There were big hugs all round in the studio ❤️We designed this stunning boho vibe wedding cake for them to celebrate with and boy did they chose some lovely cake flavours too 🤍Lemon🤍Sticky Toffee🤍 Coconut and RaspberryThere’s something so beautiful about peony’s and whilst they aren’t in season anymore we used a mix of silk and dried florals for a beautiful fresh display.Congratulations again ❤️

That…….My 2024 diary is open and I’m already fully booked for some weeks!I’ve had to tell three couples this week that their date for 2024 isn’t available and one couple looking to book in for later this year too exactly the same. I hate having to do this but in order to keep my standards high I choose to only work with a very limited number of couples every month so my availability does get snapped up quick.So if your looking for a gorgeous modern wedding cake and thinking of booking me, get in touch to see if your date is available before someone else does ❤️
