Many years ago a young man 😉 called Colin Greenway ran an “Acoustic Rooms” at St Mary’s Church in Witney!

This has since been passed on to a very nice and talented fellah Called Ben!

And we’ve now been given the opportunity to run alongside Ben a NEW Acoustic Rooms @ The Brunchery After Dark! Every Third Thursday! Starting in August!

These Acoustic Room Sessions will be intimidate, sitting, watching, appreciating Audience nights and if you’d like to play, your sign up is at 730pm with Ben! (Please bring your instrument!) and if you’d like to watch! Please don’t be late! (Give yourself time to grab a nice Pint!)

Beat the January blues! Join us for a fun and relaxing evening at Witney Lakes resort for the 14th Lake Session on Sunday January 15th. Meet at 5pm in the bar, music from 5.30 - 8.30pm. All performers get to do at least 2 songs. Free entry (but bring a card for drinks at the bar).

Thanks to everybody who appeared at the July session. There were some brilliant performances again, including Anabel who formed an impromptu 'supergroup' with Brian Simpson for her second tune (pictured).

Hello Lake Sessioneers!

At our brilliant June session, we had Georgia on our minds and - despite the fever - we still remembered to take it easy!

We're now less than one week away from our eighth session. Usual time and place. Hoping to see you all there on Sunday 17th July. Can't wait to hear what everybody's been working on.

It was fantastic to have The Jaybirds do a short set at our May event. Everybody absolutely loved their performance and some of us were lucky enough to catch them the following weekend at the Witney Food and Drink Festival.

EVENT ON DECEMBER 16th CANCELLED

With regret, I have decided to cancel next week's Lake Session. I met today with the events staff at Witney Lakes Resort and we decided that it isn't a good idea for so many of us to get together in their bar next week. The last event was fab, but we were rather packed in and with the current uncertainty around COVID and the new variant, we felt that it was just too great a risk.

In positive news, Witney Lakes are really happy that so many of us are keen to support acoustic music in Witney and, in January, we should be able to hold our next event in one of their function rooms. This should provide a little more space and a quieter environment for performers and listeners.

In the meantime, if anybody would like to record themselves playing a festive number, then please send them to me at [email protected].

Very sorry that I won't be seeing you all next week, but I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. See you in the New Year. Ben
