Cookery lessons It develops their confidence and gives them techniques that will enable them to eat more healthily, economically and have an awareness of where their food comes from. I wi

ll teach children where their food comes from, how it is produced and what different cultures do with it. Our classes use high quality, seasonal, wholesome and free-range ingredients in our hands on and fun lessons. I hope to inspire children as well as educate them and give them a bank of recipes which they can also cook at home. They are classes for you and your child to enjoy together and will include food related games and food tasting. Basic cookery skills alongside pre-school building blocks such as number, colours, counting and measuring. I am a fully qualified primary school teacher, CRB checked, have Level 2 Food safety certification, first aid training, insurance and a food rating of 5 from West Oxfordshire District Council. These are some of the scrumptious dishes which we shall be cooking during the summer term:

Calling all Scientists!

We are holding a Science day for our pupils on Friday 15th March and are looking for Scientists who would be willing to volunteer and come into school. We would like the Scientists to teach the children about their areas of expertise and demonstrate experiments, carry out investigations with the pupils. In return we offer a delicious shared lunch 😊 Please contact me if you would be able to support us with this fantastic event.

Lilly helped pipe the buttercream on the cupcakes 😊 A vanilla Birthday cake with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam, scones, lemon drizzle, vanilla cupcakes and jelly is setting in the fridge. Nostalgic baking 😊 Cheesy potato cakes using a classic wartime recipe and rationed ingredients. (Next term's teaching is based upon World War 2) These were a delicious treat (especially whilst warm) and started me reminiscing about other recipes I used to love to bake such as beef Wellington, sticky ginger cake and upside-down pineapple cake 😋 What are your favourite family recipes? Happy New Year to all my lovely customers, friends and family. I hope that 2023 brings you good health and happiness and thank you for your continued support. This year brings more change as I am returning to my role as a full-time Primary School Teacher from the end of January . I shall be teaching a lovely Year 4/5 class as maternity cover but will still be here to bake you your special treats as and when you need then. I also have cookery classes booked in throughout weekends in January and am looking forward to teaching these. What are you looking forward to this year?
