Learning to cook is one of the most empowering skills for children to learn. It develops their confidence and gives them techniques that will enable them to eat more healthily, economically and have an awareness of where their food comes from. It can boost their independence and long-term health.
I will teach children where their food comes from, how it is produced and what different cultures do with it. My classes use high quality, seasonal, wholesome and free-range ingredients in our hands on and fun lessons.
I hope to inspire children as well as educate them and give them a bank of recipes which they can also cook at home. They are classes for you and your child to enjoy together and will include food related games and food tasting. Basic cookery skills alongside pre-school building blocks such as number, colours, counting and measuring.
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher, DBS checked, have Level 2 Food safety certification, Pediatric first aid training, insurance and a food rating of 5 from West Oxfordshire District Council.
